For a few months now the rumor has been running on social media that Tesla is preparing to launch a new model (“Model C” or perhaps “Model 2”: name not official yet). A proposal confirmed by Elon Musk himself, who also indicated that it will cost half the price of Model 3 or Model Y. Now it has been reported that Tesla would have acquired land in the Mexican state of Nuevo León, where it will build a new Gigafactory.

Last week we got reports suggesting Tesla has chosen Mexico as the site for the company's next Gigafactory. And today we have gotten further details regarding Giga Mexico including the fact that the plant when fully built out could cost as much as $10 billion and that Tesla is looking to announce it as soon as this Friday.

Two days ago, on December 15th 2022 Chinese manufacturer SVOLT made an important presentation, where it showed the world its commitment to development of high-tech batteries, and where up to three different chemical models were presented - all promising a high energy density-. Each one has its own physical characteristics and costs, which will basically allow electric cars that mount them to reach ranges of up to 1,000 km by 2023, when their production will begin.

Winter is coming, with warm clothes, movie nights and a blanket at home, Christmas lights and decoration and inevitably, the cold on the road and lots of snow in some areas. Having an electric car is not a problem at all to having a good driving experience during these months though, even in the coldest northern countries; on the contrary: an electric vehicle works down to around -40ºF, even in colder conditions than a diesel, which usually has a limit of around -13ºF.

At yesterday's Semi delivery event, Tesla has officially taken the wraps off the company's next-generation V4 superchargers. According to Tesla, the V4 supercharger can charge at 1000KW and has 3 times the current density. However, even more impressively, Elon Musk has also shared that the V4 supercharger "is going to be used for Cybertruck."
