The production information for the 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been posted on the enthusiast community site Hellcat.org and while they have a ton of statistics on the 707 horsepower muscle car, the key figure is 11,955 Hellcat Challengers sold for 2016 – roughly 67% more than the 2015 model year.

Leading up to the start of the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, General Motors has announced the results of the Camaro SS Drag Race Development Program, which put a new Camaro SS into the mid 10-second range with modifications which the company believes to be the most common among grassroots racers – and this program could lead to new high performance goodies from the Chevrolet Performance division.

Earlier this week, the white Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat built and tuned by High Horse Performance set a new Hellcat quarter mile record, running a 9.29 at 147.29 miles per hour – beating the previous record of 9.46 that was set by this same car earlier this year.

The first official information proving that there is an all-wheel drive Dodge Challenger coming to market has arrived in the form of a listing on the EPA Fuel Economy website – listing a 2017 Dodge Challenger GT with the Pentastar V6 and the same fuel economy figures as the AWD Dodge Charger.

General Motors has finally announced the Nürburgring lap time for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and, as expected, it is the quickest American muscle car to hit the famed German road course – running a 7:29.60 – comfortably beating the previous best time by the Camaro and ranking 6th all-time among American production vehicles.
