FCA has announced the pricing for the new 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon and with a price starting just over $53,000 and climbing up around $57,500, the heavy duty, Hemi-powered Ram truck is priced very comparably to the 2017 Ford F150 Raptor.

I recently used a 2016 Cadillac Escalade Platinum in place of my half ton pickup to get my wife and her horses to a horse show, and after three days of being worked like a farm truck including pulling the trailer to and from the show – the Escalade proved to be every bit as capable as a pickup.

The IIHS has announced the results of their new headlight ratings test for the top trucks in the US market and the Ford F150, the Ram 1500, the Chevrolet Silverado, the Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Titan all did fairly poorly in the test – making you wonder how seriously a test can be taken when almost every vehicle in a popular segment fails the test.
