Video Shows How 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax Is Being Tested

Take a look and see how Four Wheeler Magazine puts the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Duramax to test during Four Wheeler of the Year testing event. Would you put a new Colorado truck to such a test?

Here is how they test the new Chevy Colorado.

It really looks nice, but I have a question. How many people will will their $35,000 dollar priced and new Chevrolet Colorado and go to off road that is rigid like this. I have seen this truck being used to retrieve and transport groceries as it's a light duty work truck. I read in one forum one guy saying he would not buy a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado and put it to such a challenging test where the risk of being scratched is very high. Instead, he wrote, he would buy a $5,000 truck, put a few thousand dollars into it and have a wheeler that not only will perform well, but also not worried about getting scratched.

On the other hand, a test like this shows the reasonable off road capabilities of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. It has a nice tow rating and a good MPG. Watch how 2016 Chevy Colorado maneuvers through some rocks.

The 2016 Colorado is a nice truck, however, it has a problem, common with other trucks. Most people think they need those fancy things in the interior and the truck makers equip their trucks with them. But this drives up the price and makes it very hard for a true working man to afford it.

Still, this is very impressive for Chevy.

I've seen Subarus do more.... Not that impressive to me. Most underrate a vehicle's off-road ability because they never see anything but pavement. Just watch UK Top Gear BMW off roading in Africa.
