2018 Ford Mustang Carbon Fiber Interior Package Leaked Online

The 2018 Ford Mustang will feature a new exterior design and improved performance, but thanks to a member of Mustang6g.com sharing the 2018 Mustang order guide with the community, we have learned that the refreshed pony car will also benefit from a new carbon fiber-heavy interior package. It is called the Carbon Sport Interior package, order code 68C, and it gives the 2018 Mustang a sportier, higher end look.

2018 Mustang Carbon Sport Interior Package
The new Carbon Sport Interior package for the 2018 Ford Mustang adds a carbon fiber shift knob, a carbon fiber dash face, Alcantara suede door panel inserts and unique Ebony leather seats with black Alcantara inserts and white stitching all around. Carbon fiber trim is all the rage and the addition of the new dash face and shift knob is a nice touch. More importantly, the unique seats with leather bolsters and suede center sections have a premium look, but the Alcantara portion will also help keep the driver and passenger in place during stints of spirited cornering.

We don’t have any other information on the 2018 Ford Mustang Carbon Sport Interior package (including the price), but based on the image from the order guide, it looks as though this carbon fiber-and-black interior package will apply to the 2018 Mustang GT Premium and the 2018 Mustang EcoBoost Premium. Since the Carbon Sport Interior package adds high end features, it seems unlikely that it would be offered on the non-Premium models, but we won’t know for sure until the official information is announced by the automaker.

The 2018 Ford Mustang should begin reaching showrooms this fall, so it shouldn’t be long before we get all of the information on this refreshed pony car, but in the meantime, the community at Mustang6g.com has done a great job of offering up the information in advance. This new look could help Mustang sales numbers bounce back a bit, now that the big numbers from the current Mustang have faded a bit.
