3dCarbon makes body kits for a great many makes and models but the customized Ford vehicles on display at the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas frequently wear the sporty styles of 3dCarbon – including a variety of Ford Fusion sedans at the 2012 SEMA Show. Based on the popularity of those customized midsized sedans at SEMA, 3dCarbon has introduced a body kit for the already sporty looking 2013 and 2014 Ford Fusion.
The new 3dCarbon body kit package for the Ford Fusion adds an aggressive lower front fascia extension, deeper side skirts, a gorgeous rear fascia with an integrated diffuser and integrated dual exhaust tips and a low profile rear spoiler on the trailing edge of the trunk lid. This 3dCarbon body kit adds a much sportier, aggressive look to what is a fairly sporty sedan in stock form but it does so in a manner that is subtle enough that you won’t look like a kid driving to his shift at Wendy’s with a ridiculous body kit on a brand new car. It is subtle but it is substantial enough that it really makes the new Fusion look like a sport sedan – while the optional EcoBoost engines provide enough punch to back up that look.
Best of all, 3dCarbon worked with Ford while designing this product so the fitment should be no different than how normal Ford components fit. Because of the measures taken to work with Ford, the 3dCarbon Ford Fusion body kit is available through the Official Ford Accessories program which means that you can buy the package at your local dealership already painted in the same paint as your car and install it yourself or if you have not purchased your new Fusion yet – you can order it when you purchase your car and you can have it installed when you pick up the car. Those who want to install the body kit themselves can also opt for the components to come in primer rather than already painted, all taped off and ready to be painted. Also, due to the use of the same injection molding process as it used on factory body panels, this 3dCarbon body kit for the Fusion offers the same crash test ratings as the stock components. In other words, this isn’t one of those flimsy, brittle body kits that will shatter if a stray basketball bounces into the road while driving. Finally, the high level of quality allows 3dCarbon to offer the same 5 year, 50,000 mile warranty against defects that comes with the standard Ford Fusion components.
The pricing for the 3dCarbon Ford Fusion body kit was not included in the press release announcing the sporty new package but those current Fusion owners who want their sedan to look like the car in the image above should visit their local Ford dealership for more information.
3dCarbon also offers body kits for the Ford Edge, Expedition, F150, Fiesta, Flex, Focus, Mustang and Taurus in addition to various Lincoln and Mercury models.
