A Nike shoe modeled after an Irish-built American motoring icon to debut on Black Friday
As you can see in the image below, the DeLorean Dunk 6.0 derives its styling (and the styling of the box) from the famous DeLorean DMC-12 with a flat silver, no-sew exterior finish on the shoes and gullwing-style flaps atop the unique silver shoebox. Flip the 2010 Nike DeLorean Dunk over and you see 8 tread sections when, set on its side, very closely mimics the taillight design of the sporty DeLorean DMC-12. To pay homage to the DeLorean DMC-12s Irish-built history, the tongue of the shoe features the Nike 6.0 logo with “Belfast” stamped under.
The rumored low production number coupled with the instant collectability and the annoyance of Black Friday shopping make the new Nike DeLorean Dunk a hot commodity so if you want your chance to own the rare automotive-themed Nike Dunks, lay out your favorite Back to the Future shirt and plan to get up bright and early this Friday… and don’t plan on these new kicks being offered as any part of Black Friday’s discount programs.
