For those of you who have been ‘pining’ to hear more about GM’s Cadillac XTS 2013 model, the team has just inadvertently indulged you. It appears whoever in charge of GM's website may have been misinformed about a photo date release. This premature act caused a flash of the new, 2013 Cadillac XTS momentarily, yet long enough for a buzz to form, so we here at TorqueNews are ready to talk about it.
According to Gmauthority.com and GM’s Jordana Strosberg who is Cadillac's PR "guru gal", there are more exciting developments unfolding as we read and await the mid-2012 release of Cadillac’s XTS model. "Stay tuned. More to come very soon," Stronsberg told Torque News in a brief written statement.
There are a lot of speculations in this eclectic new model such as; the a new Cadillac CUE ‘infotaining’ platform, a stellar interior that will make you wish you had passed your exit coming home from work, and even though GM’s not talking in detail about engine options. I am sure we can imagine its not going to be just your grandmother's Sunday cruiser. We may be looking at something more along the lines of the Buick Lacrosses’ stunning 3.6-liter, coupled with their classic 6-speed automatic transmission. There already has been hype about the fact that the Cadillac 2013 XTS standard frame will not be manufactured to house a screaming V8 engine like most “Caddy” owners are drawn to, but the projected alluring features are hopes to offset that with comfort, convenience, and safety features to boot. Cadillac is known best for their On-Star innovation, and impeccable drive train engineering and performance.
Even though we know Cadillac as the, “play it safe” team when it comes to technological advances, this just may be the inspiration they need to inject in their other models such as; Buick Regal and LaCrosse. We are looking forward to watching as this pillar automotive brand rising to the occasion of pioneerism and sure to pave the way of new expectations to come.
As Cadillac sees their models DTS and STS sales come to a slow simmer; the hopes are the 2013 XTS with a larger sedan idea, approaching the starting lines will rise their long standing iconic brand, back on top. As Jordana Strosberg from the Cadillac team, wrote “Stay tuned. More to come very soon.” Indeed, Cadillac you have as on our toes once again, ready to lunge at your next flag-ship eye candy.
