The 2016 Nissan Titan XD made its West Coast debut at the Las Vegas Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in booth #4367. Titan Chief Product Specialist Richard Miller revealed the truck to Vegas show goers. The SHOT Show has often been a favored place for the Titan as outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the Pro-4X models of both the big Titan and the smaller Frontier as an adventure truck of choice.
The Titan unveiled at the Sands Expo Center was the SolarFlare Yellow Crew Cab model, similar to the King Cab on display at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Equipped with a lot of features outdoors enthusiasts will find helpful, the 2016 Titan XD's payload capacity of 2,000 pounds is just the beginning. LED bed rail lighting, in-bed locking storage, tailgate illumination, a factory spray-on bedliner, and two-way tailgate assist are just the start. Optional 120V plugs and more enhance the Titan's use when out in nature and the RearView Monitor with Trailer Guides and optional Around View Monitor are a boon to those towing. Add in the exclusive one-man trailer light check for easy hookup and you've got a great working truck in the great outdoors.
At the SHOT Show, Nissan is emphasizing the durability of the new Titan. "Toughness, capability and quality are attributes the new TITAN delivers on," said Miller. "I was raised with trucks, and anything short of that simply won’t work out on the trail or jobsite. The new TITAN is as rugged as they come."
As we've discussed before here at Torque News, the 2016 Titan XD features some compelling, segment-creating figures that buyers may find fills a niche they couldn't otherwise buy for. Three cab configurations, three engine options (including a new V6), and a bigger, beefier truck are all features of the new 2016 Titan.
