The 200 mph Jaguar F-Type SVR, the first Jag developed by the nameplate's Special Operations team, was developed to exploit the capabilities of this two-seat sports car. Available as both a coupe and convertible, the F-Type SVR is lighter, faster, and more powerful than its production brethren.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR is the first series-production Jaguar from the new Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations team, the brand's new in-house upfitting brand. It will retain its all-wheel drive drivetrain, but Jaguar promises that the F-Type SVR will be a supercar in every other way.
The new car will debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1 and full technical specifications will be released in mid-February in a lead-up to the unveil. The new SVR model will join the F-Type Coupe and Convertible and R formats for the 2017 model year lineup and will enter showrooms this spring.
Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations is continuing to work on high-performance production models for the brands. Their first project, the F-Type Project 17, was produced in 250 exclusive units, all of which have been sold.
A few other details of the Jaguar F-Type SVR were accidentally released earlier in January and covered on Torque News here.
