Price Change - 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch vs. 2023 Badlands Price - You Won’t Believe This

With inflation raging in the U.S., we were afraid to compare the new ‘25 Sasquatch trim to our top-trim Bronco Sport from ‘23. What we found shocked us.

Ford’s Bronco Sport undergoes substantive changes for the upcoming 2025 model year. The small and wired-only infotainment system is upgraded to one with a big, beautiful screen, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now standard, so you won't need an aftermarket dongle. The big news is a new top-trim package called the Sasquatch. It adds beefy tires, a bash bar up front, and all the goodies I just listed. The new price must be crazy high, right?

I’m the happy owner of a ‘23 Badlands with almost all the goodies. My Bronco Sport has upgraded tires (Falken WildPeaks), sunroof, B&O audio, and nifty seats. The only option my Badlands does not have is the adaptive cruise control package, which I don't miss one bit. Conveniently, for this story, I paid exactly the sticker price. No markup from the dealer and no discount. My 2023 Badlands had a price of $45,015.That price included the destination and delivery charges.

Ford released the Build tool for the 2025 Bronco Sport today, and I immediately put it to use calculating the cost of a new Badlands to see how much more I’d have to pay to get a two-year newer, higher trim Sasquatch Badlands. I carefully configured the vehicle, and discovered that the price is now $45,965 including the dealer Doc fee. So, the added cost is $950 for the added content.

What About Inflation?
According to the data.bls.gov website which adjusts for inflation, an item costing $45,015 in 2023 should cost $46,318 today. Therefore, when adjusted for inflation, it seems like the two-year newer Bronco Sport hasn’t gone up in price at all, even if one adds the Sasquatch trim.

Conclusion - Ford Is Holding the Line on Pricing
My takeaway from this exercise is that Ford has held the line on price increases pretty well over the past two model years. The price difference seems to be just 2%, and that includes more content than my Badlands had.
