The Miata just turned 25 and to celebrate a quarter year of roadster excellence Mazda created 100 hand-built MX-5 Miatas. The vehicles all sold out in under 10 minutes on Mazda’s dedicated purchase site. This week, two lucky owners took delivery in New York and were joined by some other Miata fans to mark the occasion.

New 25th Anniversary Miata Owners
The new owners took delivery at Northtown Mazda near Niagara New York. Sabretooth, the Buffalo Sabres mascot, was on hand. Sabretooth himself is a long-time Miata owner and fan. In addition, the local Mazda RX-7 club (who invited the crazy rotary people?) came as did two local Miata clubs. The new Owners are Mark Arena and Peter Lisker. Together they make up fully 2% of the US owners of this very special car. We’ve reached out to the lucky pair and will add in any comments they might like to offer.
25th Anniversary MX-5 Miata
The 25th anniversary Miatas are special in a number of ways. For full details see our prior story. Each red and black fully-loaded grand touring car has custom paint and parts were hand-selected by senior Mazda builders. A commemorative watch was also part of the package.
