If you are old enough, you remember the movie “The Exorcist” and it was the scariest horror movie of it’s time. Hennessy Performance just announced they will bring the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 “The Exorcist” to the SEMA Show 2017. Yes it’s scary fast.
"The Exorcist” Chevy Camaro ZL1 is a street legal package built around the 6th generation Camaro ZL1, with Hennessey's special performance modifications which dials up the output to 1000 horsepower. It will do the quarter mile in sub 10-seconds.
John Hennessey, owner of the Texas high-performance says, “I have been going to the SEMA show in Las Vegas every year since 1991. This year I am very excited to let you know that we will have three very special Hennessey vehicles on display at the Shell Pioneering Performance Paviliion: One of them is THE EXORCIST. You will have to wait to find out about the other two!”
The SEMA show in Las Vegas runs from October 31 (Halloween) through November 3, 2017. So showing the “The Exorcist” on the 31st should get show goers ready for the evening. Unfortunately, the SEMA Show is not open to the general public. SEMA is a trade-only event and only qualified individuals employed within the automotive aftermarket industry are approved to receive a badge to enter the exhibit hall.
We can’t wait to see what else Hennessey Performance brings to SEMA 2017. What you can see now is the new 2018 Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE with Hennessey’s HPE850 upgrade video below. The 2018 ZL1 1LE Camaro dials up 735 RWHP and 706 rear wheel lb-ft of torque (858 HP/830 lb-ft Torque at the motor factoring a 15 percent driveline loss through factory manual transmission) running on Shell V-Power 93 octane fuel. How about 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds, 10.4 seconds in the quarter model with a top speed of 210 mph?
