Subaru brings a new 2016 WRX S4 SporVita to the Tokyo Motor show and shows off the new luxury cabin that comes from renowned Italian leather maker Mario Levi. Subaru also brought a 2016 Legacy sedan with same luxury leather interior to the Tokyo show. If this isn’t a new luxury option for the entire brands lineup, it should be.
Subaru cabins have long been known for their sparse and cheap interiors and this could change all that. Both the WRX S4 SporVita and the Legacy B4 SporVita at the show come with two-tone color on the luxury leather seats. The piano black and tan color on the WRX S4 continues onto the instrument panel and shift knob. The leather has been imported from Turin Italy where Mario Levy has their production shop.
Other WRX S4 SporVita luxury features inside include a special contrasting stitching with the WRX S4 logo embroidered on the headrest. It also gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel (high-touch leather tan/black, tan stitching, piano black tone decoration), and tan and black door trim.
Subaru will offer the 2016 WRX S4 SporVita as a series production model with just 500 examples built for the Japan market only. Again, the rest of the global markets get left out and it won’t be available in the U.S., Australia or Europe. Subaru needs to offer this as a luxury option in all their models.
