6 New Subaru Models Are Coming In 2024

Which new Subaru models can customers expect to see in 2024? There are six new models, and you may be interested in one of them.

Subaru has new models coming in 2024, and there is something new for every type of buyer. Subaru has new SUVs, a new hybrid, and sports cars coming next year. Here is the list. See if you may be interested in one of them.

2025 Subaru Forester

The remodeled sixth-generation 2025 Subaru Forester compact SUV is coming in the spring 2024. I covered the new Forester reveal when it made its global reveal in Los Angeles, which got significant upgrades.

2025 Subaru Forester launch

Here are the new Forester upgrades at a glance:

  • Sleek, fresh, contemporary interior and exterior design
  • Advanced EyeSight Driver Assist Technology standard on all trims
  • Improved dynamic performance and ride quality from a 10% stiffer chassis
  • Available 11.6-inch Subaru Starlink Multimedia system
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto™ available
  • The debut of kick sensor-activated Hands-Free Power Rear Gate

2024 Subaru Solterra

Subaru has not announced the 2024 Solterra EV, but it's coming next year. I have yet to find out what Subaru has planned for the electric Solterra compact SUV, but there will be a few new upgrades. Stay tuned.

2025 Subaru Outback

The 2025 Subaru Outback will be an all-new model. The next-generation Outback will get significant improvements, and customers should wait. I expect the 2025 Outback announcement shortly after the first of the year. The new Outback will arrive next fall and will be worth the wait.

2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid

Subaru will finally bring a Forester Hybrid, which will arrive after the standard 2025 Forester launch.

A report from Automotive News (by subscription) says the Forester hybrid will arrive in 2025 as an optional powertrain in the redesigned sixth-generation Forester. The compact SUV's Hybrid powertrain will come from alliance partner Toyota. The Forester Hybrid will be the third collaboration between the Japanese automakers as Subaru "attempts to traverse an evolving electrified product landscape."

Subaru of America COO Jeff Walters introduced the 2025 Forester at the Los Angeles Auto Show and said the hybrid version is arriving "about a year" after production of the redesigned Forester that starts in the spring and that it would be sourced from the automaker's larger Japanese partner." Stay tuned.

2024 Subaru BRZ tS launch

2024 Subaru BRZ tS

The 2024 BRZ tS is the new trim level for 2024. The tS has a six-speed close-ratio manual transmission and EyeSight driver assist technology. BRX tS will have Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Steering Responsive Headlights with High Beam Assist, and Starlink safety and security.

Other upgrades include a sport-tuned suspension from Subaru Tecnica International, high-performance Brembo brakes, 18-inch wheels in a dark gray metallic finish wrapped in 215/40 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, tS badging, and unique interior upgrades.

The BRZ tS also includes heated exterior power mirrors, an upgraded audio system with a 2-channel amplifier, and two additional speakers.

Subaru of America says the 2024 BRZ will arrive in U.S. showrooms early next year.

2024 Subaru WRX TR launch

2024 Subaru WRX TR

The 2024 WRX TR is more than an appearance package. Subaru of America says it comes equipped with a high-performance Brembo braking system, stiffer springs and revised damping rates for better body control and steering response, new 19-inch wheels paired with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, a retuned steering for improved road feel, standard Recaro black and gray Ultrasuede front seats, and a moonroof delete for weight savings and low center of gravity.

The WRX TR also has a 6-speed manual transmission with EyeSight safety technology.

The top trim level will be available at U.S. Subaru retailers in the first quarter of 2024. Stay tuned for pricing.

Would they really have an all new Outback the same year as an all new Forrester? This same site thought the Outback would be the the LA auto show but was wrong

I don’t like the big, portrait style infotainment (and other features, like climate control) system on the Forester model shown simply because the driver’s eyes are drawn too far away from the outside world. I much prefer the more compact, landscape style screen on the Honda CRV which is entirely closer to the windshield. Clicking climate control dials are separate just below the infotainment screen.
