The new Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness is one reason Subaru of America has seen 21 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth. It's not the only reason, but it's a significant reason.
For the 21 months Subaru of America (SOA) has been moving forward, the Crosstrek has been on a tear. The next-generation Crosstrek received a redesign and a new trim level, propelling the subcompact SUV skyward.
Subaru says, "In April, Forester remained the top seller, with 17,850 vehicles sold, an 85 percent increase compared to April 2023. Outback also continued to have a strong showing, with 13,131 vehicle sales. Crosstrek sales followed closely, with 12,127 vehicles sold, a 17.6 percent increase over April 2023."
Crosstrek Breaks Free In April
SOA reported they delivered 12,127 Crosstrek models to customers in April. The subcompact SUV is up 17.6 percent, one of only three models, along with Forester and Solterra, with increased monthly sales.
Crosstrek Is Up For A Minute
But the Crosstrek is still down 2.6% for the first four months of 2024. It is in second place in the all-wheel-drive lineup this year. Forester is number one overall, with 66,396 compact SUVs sold, and Crosstrek is at 50,532. Outback is in third, with 48,344 models delivered to customers in 2024.
