The 2019 Subaru WRX isn’t the least expensive, fastest used car you can buy this summer, but it’s the best when you need all-wheel-drive. The other vehicles on the list are fine for summer driving, but the WRX won’t sit in the garage when the snow flies.

What does U.S. News say about the Subaru WRX?
“All-wheel drive boosts road grip and enhances handling, and it comes standard in the 2019 Subaru WRX. This car complements that feature with a firm suspension that enhances driver engagement. It gives this car responsive driving dynamics, but the ride quality may be a bit stiff for some tastes.”
“Base models have a zippy turbocharged four-cylinder with 268 horsepower, and this trim is likely your best option to keep pricing under $30,000. This entry-level model has cloth upholstery, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth. Also, the WRX is available with upgrades like leather upholstery and heated front seats.”
All 2019 Subaru WRX sedan trim levels come standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. It offers superior handling on dry and wet surfaces and also loose gravel.

The WRX has a lower center of gravity than the other fast models on the list. The Subaru Boxer engine sits horizontally in the chassis providing superior balance than any other sports car on the list above.
