If you didn’t get enough to feast on for Thanksgiving, feast your eyes on the interior of the new Venom F5 from Hennessy Performance. Hennessy claims it will break the 300 mph barrier which would be a first for any production car in the world.
Hennessey Performance unveiled the first official images of its new hypercar’s interior and it looks impressive to say the least. It gets a premium looks thanks to liberal use of carbon fiber which makes its way all across the dashboard. It also gets unique LCD screen panel.
Other notable features include a Alcantara on the seats and an unnamed metal surrounding the air vents, and leather pull straps on the doors. The F1-like steering wheel is oval-shaped and features buttons, toggle switches and an overall exotic look. Hennessey says two versions will be offered; one covered in leather, and a racing version complete with its own instrument panel located in the center.
The gear selector has been relocated to the steering wheel for lightning-quick shifts of the 7-speed single-clutch automatic gearbox mated to the twin-turbo 7.4-liter V8 pumping out in excess of 1,600 hp. The new Venom F5’s interior won’t come cheap and will have a higher price tag than the Venom GT, which sells for $1.2 million. Production is due to start next year with just 24 examples planned, each with a starting price of $1.6 million.
John Hennessey built the Venom F5 for one reason. It looks like the top-speed wars between the Koenigsegg Agera RS and the Venom F5 are on. Look for the new Hennessey Venom F5 to attempt the world record next year.
