There are only 23 examples of the special BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition produced in the world and the first customer just took delivery in Munich. When Marco Wittmann won the Team Championship for BMW Team RMG last year, BMW M GmbH honored his achievements by designing an ultra-exclusive BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition. Each car is numbered, and Wittmann was given the number one car of these road versions of the Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM after winning the championship.
The first delivery of a BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition to a customer took place this week in BMW Welt, in Munich. BMW sold out of the special edition M4 quickly after they went on sale. They’ve been ordered by BMW M fans all over the world, and BMW says they were “snapped up” in no time at all.
BMW Welt is a unique experience
The first BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition customer chose to pick up the new performance car at BMW Welt. Any BMW customer in the world has the option of picking up their new vehicle at BMW’s special facility. BMW gives the customer an unforgettable experience as they take delivery of their new car. It’s at the heart of what BMW tries to give every customer. Helmut Kas, head of BMW Welt says, “The success of this service shows that we offer customers exactly what they want, a unique experience with an individual program for each customer.”

The customer taking delivery at BMW Welt will get special treatment and this buyer will drive away in the new M4 DTM Champion Edition that gets a unique livery just like Wittmann’s Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM racer. It features matte black across the hood, the roof and the rear deck as well as rainbow colored racing stripes. The number 23 is also included on the doors and the Champion Edition M4 is finished exclusively in Alpine White.
Additional exterior treatments include a blacked out kidney grille with bright orange accents, carbon fiber wing mirrors, a rear diffuser from M Performance Parts, a carbon fiber rear deck spoiler and bright gold brake calipers can be seen through the gloss black 19-inch wheels.
M4 DTM Champion Edition gets no power upgrades
Everything underneath that special liver is the same as the standard M4 model. It features a 3.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged engine producing 425 horsepower and 406 lb ft of torque. BMW M4 will sprint from 0-62 mph in just 4.1 seconds when equipped with the optional seven-speed M double clutch transmission. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h and can be increased to 280 km/h with the optional M driver’s package.
The first customer gets extra special treatment and takes delivery of the ultra exclusive BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition from BMW Welt in Munich, Germany.
