The New 2025 Subaru Legacy Pricing And Model Guide Is Here, You Won’t Be Excited

Subaru announced pricing on the 2025 Legacy. Check out the "new" midsize sedan here. But it will be easy to stay calm. There's little to get you excited.

Subaru of America announced pricing on the 2025 Legacy midsize sedan, but there's little for customers to get excited about. 

What's new on the 2025 Legacy? 

For the 2025 model year, it's a carry-over model with few changes except for some minor equipment adjustments on the Legacy Limited trim. Here are the pricing details and model highlights.

What is the price of the 2025 Subaru Legacy?

The good news is there's little price increase on 2025 models. For the 2025 model year, the Legacy sedan is still available in five trim levels. The base is priced at $26,040 Premium ($28,340), Limited ($35,150), Sport ($35,640), and Touring XT ($39,340). Destination and delivery fees are included in the price above ($1,145).

How much did the 2025 Legacy price increase?

The Legacy Limited increased by +$2,115. A power moonroof, DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, navigation, and a 360-degree heated steering wheel are now standard on Limited trims.

On all 2025 Legacy trim levels, the dealer fees increased by $55.

2025 Subaru Legacy Highlights

1. Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard on all Legacy trim levels. 

2. It features Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, USB-based Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED Steering Responsive Headlights with High Beam Assist, and a Rear Vision Camera with Adaptive Guidelines. 

3. The 2025 Legacy comes with the Subaru Starlink 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system for infotainment, including standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility with a full-screen display. 

4. The 2025 Subaru Legacy offers all-weather capability with standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Legacy remains one of the best all-weather capable sedans you can buy.

5. Legacy Base, Premium, and Limited trim levels are equipped with a 2.5-liter Boxer engine that produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. Legacy Sport and XT trim levels have a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine with 260 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft of torque. 

6. All Legacy models are equipped with a standard Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission with 8-speed manual shift mode and steering wheel paddle shift control switches.

When will Subaru launch the next-generation Legacy?

As I reported recently, Subaru of America has delayed the next-generation Legacy and Outback launch until the 2026 model year. So, it's another year away from making its dealer launch in North America. 

Will Subaru Launch A New Legacy Hybrid?

Subaru has yet to announce a Legacy Hybrid. Subaru is bringing new Hybrid models in the next three years and the first is the Forester Hybrid set to launch next year. A Legacy hybrid could follow, but it's likely two years away from a dealer launch in North America. Stay tuned. 

An Interesting Tidbit

The Subaru Legacy sedan is the longest-running nameplate for the Japanese automaker. Subaru developed the Legacy to replace the Leone, and it's still a mainstay in the Subaru lineup today. However, sales have slipped as buyers are more interested in the Forester, Outback, and Crosstrek SUVs.
