New Build Your Own 2021 Subaru WRX And STI Configurator Is Now Live

Even though the next-generation 2022 Subaru WRX and 2022 STI haven't arrived yet, the 2021 WRX and STI configurator are live, and the performance car will be in high demand. You can build your sport-tuned 2021 WRX or performance-tuned STI online here.

Which performance sedan should you buy?

Do you want the 268 hp WRX with a 2.0-lier Boxer turbocharged engine or the WRX STI with the 310 horsepower 2.5-liter powerplant? Both are fun to drive, but it depends if you want the higher horsepower STI with the driver-controlled center differential (DCCD), STI functional rear wing, and the standard Brembo braking system?

You can't go wrong with either sports car if you want value in a performance car. They both offer all-wheel drive, all-weather capability, and WRX and STI are still the best performance values for the dollar.

Both models just received ALG's top retained value award. ALG says the 2021 Subaru WRX and WRX STI retain their value better than any vehicle in its class. That's good news if you are buying a 2021 WRX or STI. The two sports cars project to retain the highest percentage of their value after three years.

The good news is, you can buy a 2021 Subaru WRX or STI this year and trade it in on the next-generation performance car within three years. The car's value won't drop like a rock, and you'll get the most for your trade-in.

What is the price of the 2021 WRX and STI?

The 2021 WRX comes in base 6-speed manual (MT) priced at $28,420, Premium 6MT ($30,970), Premium CVT automatic ($32,870), Limited 6MT ($33,020), and Limited CVT ($34,920). Pricing includes destination and delivery ($925).

WRX has two option packages. Navigation, Harman Kardon amplifier and speakers, Blind-Spot Detection, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert ($2,100.) The second option package with Navigation, Harman Kardon amplifier and speakers, Blind-Spot Detection/Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Reverse Auto Brake, and High Beam Assist cost $2,400.

The 2021 WRX STI comes in base trim starting at $38,170, WRX STI Limited with Wing or low profile trunk spoiler ($$42,870). Pricing includes destination and delivery ($925). STI offers one option package, Recaro front seats ($2,250.)

The configurator is now live to build your own 2021 WRX or STI and can be seen on this Subaru website. The 2021 Subaru WRX and 2021 Subaru WRX STI arrive at Subaru retailers beginning this month.
