Subaru Crosstrek Is Too Hot To Touch In Two Countries Now

The next-generation Subaru Crosstrek is not just a hot small SUV; it's the hottest. With its best June ever, it's clear that the Crosstrek is a force to be reckoned with in two countries now.

Crosstrek is too hot to touch.

The all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is not just hot; it's on fire. With record numbers of U.S. customers and a top spot in Canada, the Crosstrek is a model that's capturing the hearts of many.

Sales heat up in June.

The newly remodeled 2024 Crosstrek subcompact SUV is not just a pretty face. With a June sales performance record, it's clear that the Crosstrek is a powerhouse, even as Subaru of America's second best seller.

Canadians say Crosstrek is impressive, eh?

Up north, Subaru Canada reports that the new 2024 Crosstrek had its best June ever, with 2,936 units sold, and has continued to log yet another successive record month since September 2023. This is a significant achievement, considering the competitive nature of the automotive market. How about that, eh?

"Canadians continue to resonate with our updated (Crosstrek) lineup," said SCI Chairman, President, and CEO Tomohiro Kubota. "Boasting safety, reliability, capability, updated technology, and improved styling, there is a Subaru product for everyone."

More Crosstrek accolades.

The Crosstrek is an award-winning model. In the J.D. Power 2024 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards, it was ranked Best for Residual Value in the Small SUV segment, marking its eighth win in nine years. Read my report here for more information.

For the third year, Crosstrek also received the Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value in the Main Sub-Compact SUV category.

Earlier this year, AutoTrader crowned the Subaru Crosstrek back-to-back Best Subcompact SUV for the 2024 AutoTrader awards. Check out my report here

Smart move, Subaru.

The Crosstrek is now built in America for Americans. Subaru Corporation made a smart move by sending the Crosstrek Sport, Limited, and Wilderness production to its U.S. factory in Lafayette, Indiana. This strategic decision not only supports the local economy but also reduces delivery times for customers in North America. It's paying off now with record sales in North America.

Now, customers in the U.S. and Canada don't have to wait for the new redesigned Crosstrek to arrive from Japan. Deliveries of the subcompact SUV to retailers have been shortened by weeks.

The plan worked.

Subaru of Indiana Automotive now builds the Crosstrek Sport, Limited, and Wilderness trims with the 2.5-liter Boxer engine. Base and Premium trims are still manufactured in Japan. Customers are getting the three trims sooner, precisely what Subaru of America had planned.

And the new Wilderness happened.

Unsurprisingly, Crosstrek sales are up because the new rugged Crosstrek Wilderness trim level is sought after. Customers most often take Crosstrek off-road, and now outdoor enthusiasts in the U.S. and Canada have the Wilderness trim level that's already set up to get further off the trail.

The rugged Wilderness trim level, with its 9.3 inches of ground clearance and numerous off-road upgrades, is a thrilling option for outdoor enthusiasts. It offers more possibilities and ignites your spirit of adventure. Read my Crosstrek Wilderness model guide here.

There's more to like.

The Crosstrek is designed to get you out of the city and further away from civilization.

  • All Crosstrek trims have Subaru's excellent Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system for all-weather performance.
  • Crosstrek has 8.7 inches of ground clearance, more than all other compact SUVs.
  • Crosstrek has an X-Mode for severe weather and a dual-function X-Mode on Sport, Limited, and Wilderness trims for all-terrain capability.

Why Crosstrek?

I recommend the Crosstrek if you have an active lifestyle. If you regularly go camping, mountain biking, hiking, trail running, mountain climbing, kayaking, or surfing, It is the best small SUV for you.

How about you?

I just purchased in June a 2024 Crosstrek Premium because I really wanted a sunroof. I am totally in love with this car. I’m getting fantastic gas mileage, and my husband has plenty of leg room. I had always had Hondas for past 10 years or more but I am so glad I looked at and purchased the Crosstrek.

We have a 2021 Crosstrek outdoor model. (Canadian, 2.5) It's been an excellent car in all conditions. 7 liters per 100 fuel economy. The interior front and rear seat room is amazing (I'm 6 foot 4). Easy to park and handles well in every day commuting duties. In winter, it's shockingly good. I've owned numerous 4 wheel and all wheel drive vehicles. This by far performs the combinations of all its duties extremely well.
