I recently learned about Subaru's involvement with Costco and its car-buying program. It's worth telling customers who are considering buying a new 2024 Subaru Outback, Crosstrek, Forester, or other new Subaru models about the no-hassle auto-buying experience. It could save you money and time.
I was surprised to hear that Costco's Auto Program has been providing "a stress-free car-buying experience" to Costco members for over 30 years. "We've developed a proven formula to maximize value, streamline the process, and remove the hassle normally associated with buying a car," says Costco.
Here are the Costco Auto Program details
The Costco Auto Program provides a no-hassle auto-buying experience on new and pre-owned vehicles through prearranged pricing year-round at its network of approved Subaru dealerships.
You won't have to negotiate the price.
Dealers participating in the program have an exceptional customer service reputation and agree to offer prearranged Costco Member-Only Pricing that represents excellent value.
Plus, applicable manufacturer incentives can be added to the Costco member price for additional savings.
Authorized contacts at the approved Subaru dealerships are trained and certified to provide an excellent, streamlined experience. They are the only individuals at the dealership with access to Costco Member-Only Pricing.
Costco says they provide unmatched member support with Member Advocates available to assist before, during, and after purchase to ensure customer satisfaction.

You may only see a Subaru vehicle displayed in some Costco stores.
The Subaru displayed at the Costco warehouse pictured above is a vehicle display provided by the Subaru dealership for that warehouse's market area.
They use vehicle displays to increase Costco members' awareness of its everyday program and its Limited-Time Specials with manufacturers.

Additional savings on Subaru parts, service, and accessories
In addition to saving on the purchase of Subaru vehicles, Costco members receive at least a 15 percent discount on parts, service, and accessories at participating Subaru service centers. The discount can be used throughout the year on any vehicle in their household, and the maximum savings amount is $500 per visit.
Plus, they partner with automakers to offer additional savings. They call the extra savings "Member-Only Incentives" and encourage members to visit its CostcoAuto.com' Specials and Incentives' page frequently to view their monthly Limited-Time Specials.

It still pays to shop around.
The Costco designated dealer was 35 miles away. Once I went there and got the Costco price, I went to my local dealer (10 miles away) and got a price that was $1000 less than the Costco price. Needless to say, I purchased from the local dealer.

I am interested and a Costco member too, the vehicle I would be interested in is the Forrester or the Crosstrek. I live in Hyannis, MA and the store I frequent is in Dedham Massachusetts.
