Here are some insights from insider Alex Prestigiacomo, who works at Bachman Subaru. The information I will cover in this report is about where Subaru's inventory is now, where it will be shortly, and how inventory level affects price. Also, which Subaru models currently have the best factory incentives and discounts?
For the last three years, Subaru's inventory has been minimal, especially for new Forester compact SUVs and Crosstrek subcompact models, making it more difficult to purchase one. There were none of these vehicles on Subaru retailer's lots last year. But that is changing.

Has inventory finally caught up with demand?
In early February, Alex said ten next-generation 2024 Subaru Crosstrek models are now on the lot for sale. They have seven 2024 Ascent 3-Row SUVs, four WRX sports cars, four 2024 Subaru Impreza compact hatchbacks, two 2024 Subaru Legacy midsize sedans, and many 2024 Subaru Outback midsize SUVs on the lot.
Which Subaru model is in the tightest supply?
The 2024 Subaru Forester is still the model with the tightest supply. Customers who want a Forester may have to order the vehicle, wait for Subaru to build it, and wait two to three months for it to arrive from Japan. However, Forester's inventory will likely improve throughout the year.

Can you get a discount on a new Subaru in 2024?
Because of the improved inventory levels at most Subaru retailers, Subaru of America is now offering its "Subaru A Lot To Love Event" in February. They have special financing and additional factory incentives.

Currently, Subaru offers 1.9 percent financing for 48 months on select 2024 Subaru Outback midsize SUVs. This is trim level specific and is available on the upper trims. Subaru of America offers zero percent financing for 72 months on 2023 Solterra compact EV SUVs.
Because Subaru Retailers have so many 2024 Outback models sitting on its lot right now, you can negotiate a more considerable discount off the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) or the sticker price.

It could be the best time to buy a new 2024 Subaru Outback, Crosstrek, and other new all-wheel-drive models. Inventory levels will continue to improve this year, giving customers a buying advantage.
