Only Mercedes-Benz could think of putting this kind of luxury in the new 2014 S-Class. And guests are treated to two world’s firsts in the luxury sedan. Mercedes is at the center of attention this week as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runs from September 5-12 at the Lincoln Center. Over 100 world-renowned designers will bring their spring 2014 collections to show the world.
Mercedes-Benz sponsors the event and brings the all-new 2014 S-Class which is the main attraction in the main lobby and is the essence of luxury. Eyewear maker Shwood found their inspiration on the inside of the S-Class, crafting an exclusive line of sunglasses from the same wood used to trim the luxurious interior. What will guests be treated to?
This is where Mercedes-Benz leads the automotive world. The new S-Class is the benchmark of past generations and continues to lead the full-size luxury segment with a rare combination of style, luxury and engineering “which sets new standards for others to follow.” The S-Class touches all five senses when a customer gets inside.
As guests of the Fashion Week enter the S-Class interior, they will get to experience something truly unique. The luxury sedan features a world’s first “active perfuming system.” It’s AIR-BALANCE system perfumes the interior cabin with any scent of the driver's choosing. The driver can flood the cabin with a classic scent to the hottest scent of the season from Mercedes.
Mercedes says 'Active' means that the perfuming system can be switched on and off manually that adjusts the perfumes intensity. The perfume atomization system individualizes the smell of the vehicle interior. It neither changes the interior smell permanently, nor are perfume molecules deposited on fabric surfaces or clothing. The fragrance is discreet and mild, and dissipates rapidly.
Mercedes-Benz has raised seating and climatic comfort in the S-Class to a whole new level. Tired fashion goers can take time out to relax in the vehicle's ENERGIZING hot stone massaging seats that allow the occupants to feel the epitome of comfort. This is also a world’s first and features a unique massage function with 14 separately actuated air cushions in the backrest, as well as an integrated warming function. There is a choice of six massage programs, two of them using the warming function. The function is also available for the rear seats.
Coupling these two world’s first luxury systems with the vehicle's unique Frontbass sound system and the ultra-smooth ride, gives 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class buyers the epitome of luxury for every sense.
