Because of its all-wheel-drive system, the Subaru WRX STI isn’t all that easy to drift around a paved track, but Subaru Global had different ideas when they took it out to the circuit for a little drifting fun. Check out the short STI video below and have some fun.
The 2018 Subaru WRX STI gets extra suspension upgrades and larger Brembo brakes which help the STI in extreme driving situations like you see in the video. Subaru’s WRX STI is the flagship performance model developed on the dirt and gravel rally stages, but it’s also formidable on the pavement.
Subaru depicted the STI’s extreme drivability character in this promo video that should meet the expectations of even the most hard-core performance fans. It’s why they buy the performance-tuned STI sedan.
The WRX STI also has a lot of experience on pavement when it shattered the Isle of Man TT record last year. The Subaru WRX STI Type RA NBR also set the fastest-ever lap for a sedan at the Ring earlier this year. Of corse, neither of these cars were stock models. But the 2018 Subaru WRX STI is a stock model and this extreme drifting looks fun.
