If you are a new Subaru vehicle owner, you may not know about the Subie season. What is it? You won't find seasoned Subaru owners sitting on the couch on the weekends this winter. While others are inside trying to stay warm, Subaru all-wheel-drive vehicles play in the snow. It's called Subie season.
I live in Colorado, and when I checked the weather this morning, it said there was a blizzard warning. Now it's time to have fun with my Subaru Crosstrek and head to the ski slope.
You may have yet to learn this if you are a new Subaru owner.
A Subaru is not an ordinary automobile. You are now officially a part of a culture that loves its cars like a family member. Your Subaru will make your commute to work in the snow fun. You'll fall in love with your Subaru more when it snows, and you will become a Subaru fanatic and believer.
You will call your new Subaru vehicle a Subie.
Subaru owners are some of the most passionate car owners around. Owners love to drive and talk about their Subaru vehicles. It doesn't matter which vehicle you have from the Japanese automaker. You can own an Impreza, WRX, Crosstrek, Forester, Outback, Ascent, BRZ, Legacy, Solterra, or Baja. Subaru owners affectionately call their vehicle a Subie or Scubi.
Snow is for fun.
The first time it snows, you'll likely be the first person on the road and take your unbelieving friends out for a ride. Show them why your Subaru is even more fun to drive on wet, gravel, snowy, and muddy road conditions. Take a video clip of yourself doing donuts in the parking lot and post it on your Instagram page. This is Subie season.

Have two sets of tires for Subie season.
Remove the all-season tires and replace them with snow and winter-rated tires if you live in snow country. It makes Subie season come alive. You can get over the mountain pass in a blizzard to go snowboarding, skiing, and camping when others won't travel.

Your Subaru will be dirty more than it's clean in Subie season.
Subaru fans aren't afraid to take their vehicles off-road when muddy roads exist, just like snow Subaru fanatics love playing in the white stuff with their all-wheel-drive vehicle. Your Subaru SUV will be dirty more than it's clean in the Subie season.
Getting away from the city on the weekends is not a want; it's a need. You aren't sitting home watching Netflix; you are out exploring and getting away from civilization.

You didn't buy your Subaru Crosstrek, Outback, Forester, or another all-wheel-drive vehicle for commuting and using to haul groceries on the weekend. Get out and have fun; this is Subie season.
