Elon Musk Knocks Down Apple Vision Pro as Apple’s Revolutionary Headset Takes Focus Away From the Tesla Cybertruck, Says – “Doesn’t Feel Like It is There Yet, It Didn’t Blow Me Away”

2024 was dubbed the year of the Cybertruck as Tesla started delivering the revolutionary all-electric truck. However, Apple’s Vision Pro release has taken the thunder away from the Cybertruck. Now, Elon Musk gives his two cents about the Apple Vision Pro.

First, it was the personal computer, then the smartphone, and now we are boldly embarking on the spatial computing era.

That’s at least how the future will unfold if Apple has its way. The tech giant recently released a new product it calls the Apple Vision Pro. The Vision Pro aims to redefine how we interact with computers.

Apple’s new virtual reality headset brings computing out of the screen and into the surroundings. Early reviews of the product have been almost unanimously positive, with people labeling Apple Vision Pro as the next evolution of computing.

Excitement for Apple’s Vision Pro has been so high there are already reviews showing people using the VR headset in their Tesla vehicles.

Some Tesla owners have elected to use the virtual reality headset during supercharger stops to increase their productivity while waiting for their Teslas’ to charge.

However, others have also been spotted driving Tesla vehicles with the headset on. Apple’s Vision Pro has a pass-through option that feeds real-time video from the outside world into the inner screens at 12 milliseconds.

This should technically allow people to drive with the headset on; however, the Apple Vision Pro hasn’t been rated for operating machinery while using it, which means new Vision Pro owners better err on the side of caution.

Whether you agree with people driving their Teslas with Apple Vision Pro on or not, one thing that is undeniable is excitement for the product is through the roof.

So how does the man who is single-handedly responsible for some of the most innovative breakthroughs in the technology world for the past decade feel about Apple’s new product?

Luckily, a few hours ago, Elon Musk publicly commented on his experience using the Apple Vision Pro.

In response to an X user who documented his early impression of using Apple Vision Pro by writing his review of the product while using Vision Pro, Musk replied saying, “Doesn’t feel like it is there yet. I tried Vision out, but it didn’t blow me away.”

Musk then followed up his Apple Vision Pro take, stating, “iPhone 1 wasn’t great either imo. Lower utility than alternatives, all things considered, but by iPhone 3, it was unequivocally the best “smartphone.”

People who are skeptical of Elon Musk might say that Musk’s reservation when it comes to the Apple Vision Pro is due to the fact that Apple’s VR headset has taken some of the thunder away from the Cybertruck.

If you recall, before Apple started delivering the Vision Pro, all media attention was glued onto the Tesla Cybertruck. 2024 was even dubbed as “the year of the Cybertruck.”

However, with the recent release of the Apple Vision Pro, 2024 will likely go down in history as the year of spatial computing, not Cybertruck.

It’s impossible to say how much this fact influenced Elon Musk’s reaction to the Apple Vision Pro. However, no matter the case, the Vision Pro should at least supercharge Musk to develop the next major breakthrough.

Which, in the end, will mean we all become winners. This is all the information we’ve regarding Elon Musk’s take on the Apple Vision Pro. However, we’ll be sure to keep you posted as Musk further elaborates on his thoughts.
