Here is the Change I Made to My Cybertruck Order That Made Tesla Move My Delivery Date From September to This Week

Tesla originally had my Cybertruck delivery scheduled for September; however, I made a small change to my Cybertruck order and was assigned a VIN within 10 minutes. Here is the exact Cybertruck order you should place to get your truck early.

In the past few months, Tesla has massively increased Cybertruck production. According to Elon Musk, Tesla has already reached Cybertruck annual production run rate of 75,000 trucks per year, and the EV maker plans to grow this number to over 125,000 Cybertrucks per year by the end of 2024.

While it's impressive to see Tesla ramping up production to meet the high demand, the waiting list for the Cybertruck is still over a million people long.

With the mismatch between production and interest still not closed, there is immense interest in getting to the front of the line and being able to purchase a Cybertruck earlier than others.

Currently, Tesla only sells the Foundation Series Cybertruck. These fully loaded variants of the “regular” Cybertruck come standard with optional features that cost around $15,000.

However, Tesla is selling Foundation Series Cybertrucks for $20,000 above the regular Cybertruck variants, which means you will have to spend an extra $5,000 just to get ahead in line.

Overall, Elon Musk has already confirmed that Tesla will stop selling Foundation Series Cybertrucks next quarter. If you are willing to wait a few months for the regular Cybertrucks, you can save up to $27,500.

However, if you are the kind of individual who wants to get the Cybertruck on his/her hands no matter what it takes, surprisingly, there are ways you can jump ahead and get your Cybertruck earlier than others.

Facebook user Mark Habash shared how he shortened his Cybertruck delivery date by several months by making a small change to his Cybertruck order.

Something to keep in mind here is that Mark is already one of the Cybertruck reservation holders who has been invited by Tesla to convert his reservation to a binding order. Mark has taken advantage of this opportunity to order a Foundation Series Cybertruck.

There are reports that people who ordered their Cybertruck as late as a year after the unveiling event have received an email from Tesla inviting them to configure a Foundation Series Cybertruck.

This suggests that perhaps more than 100,000 individuals have been contacted by Tesla to configure their Cybertruck. If you are in this category or find yourself in this category soon, Mark’s advice can help you get a Cybertruck in as little as a day.

Here is what Mark wrote on Facebook…“So, I went to the Tesla dealership today, and they had 20-plus Cybertrucks sitting on the back lot. I went over and checked them out, and they are identical—white interior, AWD, and bigger tires. I changed my configuration to match and got a VIN within 10 minutes! I can't wait!! I really wanted the grey interior; however, that was a September delivery, and employees never saw it. I couldn't wait any longer.”

As I have already mentioned, Tesla currently only sells Foundation Series Cybertrucks; however, within this category, Tesla gives you a few options to configure your truck.

The first choice is between the dual-motor Cybertruck All-Wheel-Drive and the tri-motor Performance Cybertruck Cyberbeast. After that, Tesla allows you to choose between a black and white interior and a gray interior.

The final choice is between the larger all-terrain tire and wheel combo and the smaller all-season tire and wheel combo.

Within these categories, some variants have later delivery dates than others. For example, if you want a Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast with a gray interior, you will have to wait several months.

However, Tesla is cranking out one Cybertruck variant in a higher number than all others. And as Mark noted above, if you order a Cybertruck AWD with a white interior and all-terrain tires, you will significantly move up in the delivery queue.

The expedited delivery is because, as Cybertruck production is still ramping up, Tesla has decided to streamline the production process by limiting the number of available Cybertruck variants.

Tesla has decided that the default configuration for the initial Cybertruck production run will be the dual-motor Cybertruck with a black and white interior and all-terrain tires.

In Mark’s case, by switching the gray interior to a black-and-white interior, he was able to get a VIN assigned to him in 10 minutes rather than waiting for his chosen configuration to be available in September.

Mark’s experience suggests that if you want to receive your Cybertruck early, you should configure an AWD Cybertruck with a black and white interior and all-terrain tires.

Overall, this is all the information we have; however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted as we learn more about Tesla’s plans. Until then, make sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.

So, what do you think? Did you know you can significantly expedite your Cybertruck delivery by choosing a certain configuration?
