Nightmare Cybertruck Delivery to Tesla Superfans With 17 Teslas – Missing Steering Wheel Chunks, Multiple Scratches, Misaligned Trims, Faulty Window Seal, Overall Atrocious Quality for a Brand New Vehicle

A new Cybertruck delivery video by two huge Tesla fans who have owned 17 Teslas over the years shows the EV maker has a ways to go when it comes to quality. Their Cybertruck was delivered with multiple issues that spoiled the new vehicle experience.

Throughout the years, we’ve all heard FUD stories propagated by individuals or groups that target Tesla because either they stand to gain financial rewards from Tesla’s fall or simply because they do not like the company.

We’ve done our part to fight against undue Tesla fear, doubt, and uncertainty. However, this new Cybertruck delivery experience detailed by 2 Tesla uberfans proves that the company still has work to do to improve customer satisfaction.

The nightmare Cybertruck delivery experience was detailed by David and Erick, who ran a Tesla-focused YouTube channel called Daerik.

Not only do the YouTubers host a Tesla-focused channel, but throughout the years, they have also bought 17 Teslas just between the two of them.

David and Erik might be the biggest Tesla fanboys. So, how was their delivery experience? To begin with, the YouTuber’s brand-new Cybertruck was delivered with several scratches and minor dings.

The scratches appear all over the vehicle; however, they are especially prominent on the tailgate, where the truck sustained a minor collision, perhaps during loading and unloading.

To Tesla’s credit, before delivery, the Tesla reps made note of the scratches and informed the new owners that they would be receiving replacement parts for the damaged areas.

However, the problems were just starting there. In addition to these scratches and dings, the bottom part of the steering wheel has a chuck that has completely fallen off.

It’s unclear how the issue arose, but the YouTubers noted that holding the steering wheel felt rough and uneven. Given Tesla’s recent issue with the yoke steering wheel on the Model S and X, there is a possibility this issue might be more widespread.

Following this, the YouTubers also noted that the driver-side window seal was not properly aligned. While driving, the new Cybertruck owners could hear a sharp wind noise coming specifically from that corner.

There is also a chuck taken out of the passenger-side sun visor. It appears that the sun visor was damaged by a sharp object that has taken a chunk out of the vehicle component.

If all these problems weren’t enough on a brand-new vehicle, the YouTubers also noted several areas where interior trims are falling off.

This might not seem too big of a deal; however, over time, these minor issues can cause water leaks, unwanted noise, and other problems that spoil the vehicle experience for new owners.

As it was made clear in the video, Tesla has noted all the problems, and it appears all the issues will be fixed under warranty.

Also, it is important to note that although there were several issues with the brand-new Cybertruck, the YouTubers have admitted that none of the problems are a deal breaker, and the fundamental driving experience of their new Cybertruck seems solid.

Currently, this is all the information we’ve regarding Cybertruck build quality as Tesla ramps up the truck's production. We’ll be sure to keep you posted once we get further information. Until then, visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.

So what do you think? Surprised to see Tesla deliver a brand new Cybertruck with these many issues? If you were in the YouTuber’s shoes, would you have taken delivery of a brand-new vehicle in this condition?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
