Tesla says Cybertruck production should reach 250,000 trucks yearly when fully ramped. With over 1 million reservations, this means that even at peak output, it’ll take Tesla 4 years to clear through the current backlog.

Tesla added a new reward to the company’s referral program: Now, you can spend 30,000 credits to accelerate your Cybertruck delivery.
Describing the award, Tesla writes…
Redeem referral credits to accelerate your Cybertruck delivery. Be invited to configure and take delivery of your Foundation Series All Wheel Drive or Cyberbeast within 45 days of redemption. If you miss your chance to claim, check back later – additional accelerated deliveries will be added.
Tesla then added some restrictions on this award, stating that there is one Cybertruck limit per account and that this referral reward is not transferable to another individual.
To receive 30,000 credits, you will have to refer three people to buy a Tesla vehicle. This is not an easy task for regular individuals; however, it should be a breeze for public personalities who post their referral links next to their content.

Since wait times for the Cybertruck are exceedingly long and interest is high, scalpers have been buying a Cybertruck and flipping the vehicle for twice its starting price without adding any value.
By allowing people who have referred three individuals to buy a Tesla to get ahead in the Cybertruck lines, Tesla appears to Be looking to rein in the scalper problem.
