Tesla Hints Something Big Will Be Happening in 2 Days, the Only Clue “7, 17”

Tesla has shared a new headscratcher post that is making people wonder what’s going to happen. The post includes the numbers 7 and 17 and the date, October 18, 2024. Besides that, Tesla has not provided a lot of information.

Through the company’s official X account, Tesla has decided to share a teaser about something important that will take place in a couple of Days.

The post was made by Tesla’s Thailand account and includes the numbers 7 and 17. In addition to these numbers, Tesla includes a picture with a black background. The numbers 7 and 17 are once again written in bold. Tesla is also spelled in the official company font, and underneath, it says 18 October 2024.

Finally, Tesla has added a picture of a sand timer next to the numbers 7, 17. That’s all the clue the EV maker chose to share.

Naturally, people, including me, were curious, and here are some of the theories that have been put forward.

One Tesla fan simply wrote, “A what in the what now?! Enough with the number teasers!” Another Tesla fan posited, “Model Y 7 seater with 17 speaker premium audio?”

Looking at the comments below, many people seem to think the post has to do with the Model Y. One individual writes, “7-seater Model Y.”

Keeping with the Model Y theme, another individual puts forward a more elaborate theory: "The decimal number in the ASCII table for the letter Y is 89. If you add 8 + 9, you get 17. 7 17 is Model Y 7 seats.”

This would explain the 7 part, but it still does not explain why 17. Another Tesla fan seems to believe the post has to do with a brand new gigafactory that will be built in Thiland.

Tesla currently has six factories: the Fremont California Plant, Giga Nevada, Gigafactory New York, Giga Shanghai, Giga Berlin, and Giga Texas.

This is an interesting point. Supporting this claim, we know that Tesla has been looking at other locations to build a new Gigafactory, and for a while, Thailand has been floated as a potential next location.

That said, this still doesn’t explain the 17 part of the 7, 17 equation. The person who posited the gigafactory theory tries to answer this riddle by writing, “7th Gigafactory with 17 more to go?”

Another commenter posits that Tesla’s post has something to do with Cybertruck, writing, “Cybertruck comes to Thailand.” However, this seems more like wishful thinking than an actual answer. What do the numbers 7 and 17 have to do with the Cybertruck?

Maybe because the Cybertruck is angular, and both 7 and 17 are straight-edged numbers? That’s a possibility.

However, two of the better explanations I have seen involve location and time. In the time aspect, people believe that the announcement will be made at 7:17 a.m. or p.m., which is a fair conjecture.

On the location front, one Tesla fan writes…

“The significance of “7 17” for Tesla Thailand primarily relates to the location of its head office and service center in Bangkok. Tesla Thailand’s main facility is situated at 7,7/1 Ramkhamhaeng Road, which appears to be a central hub for sales, service, and other customer-related activities. This site is equipped to handle various aspects of the Tesla experience, including maintenance, test drives, and charging solutions. The address number “7” seems to play a notable role as it identifies the location where Tesla has established its presence in Thailand, further integrating into the market as part of its expansion in Southeast Asia.”

This is still a far stretch, but it may be a better explanation than a 7-seat Model Y with 17 speakers.

Overall, it’s hard to decipher what Tesla meant by 7, 17. However, please let us know your theories in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the red “Add new comment” button below. Also, visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.
