Israeli Priminister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently in the US to attend the annual UN meeting. During his stay in the country, Netanyahu made his way to Tesla’s Fremont, California plant.
During the factory tour which was led by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Netanyahu visited the Model S & X production lines and learned about the production process of Tesla’s two premium vehicles.
In addition to getting a tour of the production process, Netanyahu also tried these vehicles even sitting in the back seat of a Model X together with his wife Sara Netanyahu.
This was certainly exciting, and from this visit, there will undoubtedly come some strategic partnership between the Austin, Texas company and the Middle Eastern country. Even if not a New Israeli Gigafactory, the country is known for being on the bleeding edge when it comes to AI and self-driving tech and there’s a chance for the two parties to work together in this regard.

As of now, there hasn’t been any new deal announced however, until we get the fruits of this Tesla visit by the Israeli PM, for now, there was still some exciting Cybertruck-related news that came out of the meeting.
During Netanyahu’s visit, Musk gave a ride to the Israeli PM in what looks like a release candidate or even perhaps a production candidate Cybertruck. Given the fact that Tesla has yet to start delivering these vehicles, there is still a lot we don’t know about the truck.
However, Netanyahu’s Cybertruck ride was also accompanied by several news outlets that brought their cameras to the event. And as Netanyahu entered the Cybertruck we were able to glean some new information regarding the Cybertruck’s interior.
The first detail is the interior programmable blue ambient lighting. Prior Cybertruck sightings have shown the vehicle with red ambient lighting however, this is the first time we’ve seen the interior ambient lighting turned blue.
This confirms that it is possible to change the interior ambient lighting. Given Tesla’s track record of attention to detail, there is a chance maybe the reason the interior ambient lighting was changed to blue has something to do with the fact that the Israeli flag is blue. but, that’s just our conjecture for now.
The second thing we can see is the Cybertruck’s rear secondary screen. We’ve seen this detail once before however, this is perhaps the clearest view we’ve so far of the second screen.
With the ambient lighting and second rear screen, it appears that Tesla is unifying the interior design of its vehicles all the way from the refreshed Model S & X to the recently released refreshed Model 3 and now to the cybertruck.
Other details we are able to see are the half-yoke, half-circular hexagonal steering wheel, the center console with Cybertruck-themed cup holders, the redesigned black dash, and so on.
With the addition of the rear screens the programmable interior ambient lighting, and redesigned center console and dashboard, it appears that the Cybertruck that the Israeli PM rode in is close to the final or perhaps the final design of the truck.
In addition to seeing the interior of the Cybertruck, Musk during the visit also gave Netanyahu a ride in the Cybertruck around Tesla’s Fremont test track. During the ride, Musk demonstrated the Cybertruck’s quick acceleration and performance, zipping across the track at high speed.
