Snoop Dogg made a post on X and said the following:

This is a message for Elon Musk. Nephew, I need a Tesla. One of your people came to my show and told me they was going to get me one. I'm still waiting... Do I have to buy one? Or you gonna send me one?

The biggest question on mine - and a lot of people's mind on this, is why would he think that someone can get a Tesla for free - just because "one of your people" came to his show and told him they were going to get him one.

Someone "promising" Snoop Dogg to get him a Tesla seems to have made him think - or at least create a message and post - that he can get a Tesla for free.

Elon Pays Full Price, Says His Mother Maye Musk

Elon Musk's mother said that he pays full price and that there are no "family discounts" at Tesla, not even for his own mother.

Maye has seen the invoice for his Tesla purchase and seen that Elon pays full price. There are no discounts on Tesla vehicles unless Tesla offer them via its website by lowering prices.

There is also the $7,500 EV tax credit that is available for the Model Y variants, the Model X Long Range, the Model 3 Performance - once it is released again, and the dual-motor Cybertruck (once the Foundation Series are done).

Affordability of Tesla Vehicles

Tesla temporarily cut the price of its Model Y recently - something they said they would do for just the month of February. After that, the price is going back to normal.

I think it's possible that Tesla is trying to get rid of inventory. Others think that this is due to the new Model Y refresh, Juniper, getting ready to be delivered. However, I don't think that's the case - expect the Model Y Juniper in Giga Shanghai later in the year and in North America in 2025 - that's my guess.

If you want a lower price on a Tesla, you are going to have to take the gamble that interest rates are going to stay high, and that Tesla will continue to lower prices of its existing vehicle lineup.

Or, you can just wait for the upcoming $25,000 compact Tesla to release.
