The Post Apocalyptic Cybertruck
With Elon Musk's latest Tweet and continued rumors of the Tesla Cybertruck possibly being closer to production than late 2022, we are wondering what features will be available with the Tesla Cybertruck besides the standard range, acceleration, and towing capacity.
FSD (full self-driving), an add-on for all Tesla vehicles will be available. The vehicle will need access to GPS, which thankfully is in outer space in order to use it. So that would qualify as a post apocalyptic feature since it doesn't require anything connecting on earth.
Cybertruck will reach far into a post-apocalyptic future & bring that technology to now— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 29, 2021
First, there was a Reddit thread a while back with some of the features I think will be on the Cybertruck as an add on. Here they are:
Cybertruck Camping Package
When asked about there being a camping package available for purchase, Elon Musk said "Yes". The camping package will be a very important part of the Cybertruck and its add-ons. It will mean that very easily from the back of the Cybertruck that you will be able to fold out a simple stove with 2 built in burners. The power for those will already be available within the Cybertruck.
There will be a couple other foldouts too for storing dishes and possibly another for stovetop cooking. I'm basing all of this on the picture I see from Elon Musk's Tweet about the camping package below. It'll be interesting to see how much power it takes to cook a meal and if the sun is out, if there is even any power used at all.
If you're out in a wooded area and hunt and kill your own food, you now have a way to easily cook it - assuming you have a knife, water and a pot. I believe there will be storage for all 3 of those things.

Cybertruck ATV Cyberquad
The Cybertruck ATV Cyberquad is an electric 3 wheeler that will be available for purchase as an add-on. The best demonstration I've been able to see of what it might be like is someone who made a YouTube vide of their own Cyberquad they made.
It was an electric 3 wheeler with a very fast acceleration and off-roading capabilities. This is certainly something you want when you are in post apocalyptic world and need to be able to traverse terrain and spaces that aren't as easily drivable by the Cybertruck.

Cybertruck Flamethrower
Even though a Cybertruck flamethrower seems like a long shot, I don't think it's as long a shot as you might think. After all, Tesla made its "Not a flamethrower" merchandise and it sold out very quickly. I'd be willing to bet that if Tesla decided to make a compartment for a flamethrower, that it would sell as an add-on in large numbers.
What would be the point of a flamethrower on the Cybertruck? To roast zombies in the post apocalyptic age of course. Or you could use it to very quickly start a camp fire - there's that option too. If the flamethrower comes as an option that pops out of the Cybertruck and shoots fire out of the truck, that would be amazing.

Cybertruck Solar Wings
This is a great option for someone who needs to park their Cybertruck or live in it or on a camper attached to it and needs to utilize energy from it. With enough sunny days, you could live indefinitely from the sun.
Of course, this assumes that the sun is indeed out and giving off energy and the clouds aren't blocking it due to a post apocalyptic event. If that's not the case, then you can bet having solar wings will be a popular option for people. Even taking the Cybertruck to work and folding the wings out will make sense.
Will be an option to add solar power that generates 15 miles per day, possibly more. Would love this to be self-powered. Adding fold out solar wings would generate 30 to 40 miles per day. Avg miles per day in US is 30.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 22, 2019
Cybertruck Solar Roof
This will be the standard solar panel option for the Cybertruck and add 15 miles or more per day in charging. That's pretty good just from using solar panels. It looks like they simply go on the top of the back of the Cybertruck and that back can fold into the Cybertruck when you need to transport something big that needs it tucked away.
I have a Cybertruck on order and will definitely be adding the solar roof as an option - maybe even the solar wings.
Cybertruck Steel Balls
When the Cybertruck had its unveiling, there was a segment where the truck was hit with a sledge hammer with no denting. However, when a large steel ball was thrown against the window, it cracked. This is because the ball was supposed to be thrown at the window first. Hitting the side of the truck first caused the window to weaken.
I'm not sure what these would be used for in the Cybertruck, but they are heavy enough that they could definitely cause some damage to a zombie. Other than that, its anybody's guess what they would be used for.

Cybertruck Stainless Steel Exoskeleton and Strong Windows
We saw a demonstration of the strong stainless steel exoskeleton of the Cybertruck on its unveiling day. The car was able to withstand the blow of a sledgehammer. How would it handle another car or animal running into it? My guess is it would be pretty durable unless that other car was very large or another Cybertruck.
Having difficult to break windows is great as well if things get out of hand in a post apocalyptic scenario. You don't want it to be easy to get at you while you are inside the Cybertruck.
Cybertruck Water Filtration
I haven't heard much talk of a water filtration system and this may not be something that the Cybertruck comes with, but one if its camping add-ons might. A water filtration system would simply take water and filter it out such that you could take water from a dirty puddle, put it through the filter, and drink it without getting sick.
The water filter should eliminate any harmful substances and microbes that could cause problems if you ingested them.
Cybertruck Multiple Tiny Compartments for Storage
There's been speculation of many different compartments to store things - from the middle of the front seats, to a compartment underneath the bed of the truck. I believe there will be many little compartments like this to store anything you'd need in a post apocalyptic scenario, whether it be firearms, light, or books you want to read.
Tiny Tiny Home / Camper
One question on people's minds is besides the Cyberlandr, what kinds of camping trailers will hook onto the Cybertruck easily? The camper is the primary thing that would allow you to live off grid with the Cybertruck in a comfortable way. Otherwise you'd have to put a mattress on the back of the Cybertruck and cram yourself in that way. Not very practical for me as I'm tall (6'4'').
I've seen some renderings online of what appear to be futuristic tiny homes and if the Cybertruck could take one of these and transport it somewhere, that would be very handy.
HVAC Biohazard System
It's quite possible that the Cybertruck will have an HEPA filtration system similar to the Model Y that allows you to handle a biohazard type of situation. I believe the Cybertruck will have a bioweapon defense mode that filters out bad particles from the air and only allows good breathable particles in.
That's it, those are some of the post-apocalyptic features of the Cybertruck that I think it will have. It would be nice for artificial intelligence to advanced enough to provide an interactive personality and voice commands for the Cybertruck, but I don't think we're quite there yet.
What are some of the features of the Cybertruck you expect to see upon release? Did I miss any of them here?
