Good Deals On Tesla Vehicles
There are many ways to get a good deal on a Tesla vehicle, and every Saturday, I'll be covering the best deal on a Tesla vehicle that I can find. This week, it's a new Model Y Long Range found in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Tesla's NEW existing inventory, for a staggering low amount of $38,230 after the EV tax credit - which now gets applied at point of sale - immediately at purchase.
This amount is about $7,000 LESS than what I paid for my 2022 Model 3 RWD. The base price even without the tax credit almost matches exactly the price I paid for my Model 3 RWD.
The base cost of a Model Y Long Range is $48,990 - not bad for the worldwide king of cars and this one has a base cost of $44,090 - nearly $5,000 less than the base price! This is from Tesla's NEW existing inventory, so the vehicle is still new. Tesla also has USED existing inventory with older vehicles.
If you are wanting to buy a Tesla for the first time, finding one of these existing inventory items is not a bad idea.

The numbers work out like so for this vehicle, if you were to buy it, located in Las Vegas, Nevada:
* Vehicle Price: $44,090
* Destination Fee: $1,390
* Order Fee: $250
* Total: $45,730
* Total After U.S. EV Tax Credit: $38,230
* Total Due Today: $250
A loan with no money down would cost about $613/month for 7 years.
A lease with no money down would cost $537/month for 3 years. This still includes the $1,390 destination fee.

Buy or Lease This Vehicle?
Buying or leasing a vehicle, especially a Tesla, is a matter of your situation and what you are willing to tolerate. A lease means you are effectively "renting" the vehicle for 3 years and then return it when you are done. Your money is gone and that's it.
A lease has the advantage of not having to put money down, and the monthly payment is generally less than if you buy the vehicle outright. So far, even Tesla EVs have proved to be depreciating assets. Unless Tesla solves FSD and autonomy soon, I think this will remain the case.
Leasing allows you to experience a Tesla vehicle, and this may be good for a first time car buyer who isn't sure what they want. You can get into the car for a lower monthly payment and "try it out."
You also have the advantage of being able to always be in the latest and greatest Tesla models without the commitment of a long term loan.
The primary disadvantage of leasing is that you never own anything, and you'll always have a monthly payment.

Buying the vehicle, on the other hand, might be for you if you can see this car being yours - or in your family, for at least 7 years or more - hopefully for the entire life of the car. If you plan to have the car operate this way, buying is probably a better option.
The reason for this is that you will eventually own the car and stop paying monthly payments on it. If the car lasts a decade or more, this is definitely the better option.
The disadvantage of buying is that the car will get older over time and depreciate in value. However, for a Tesla vehicle, the batteries and electric motors should last 300,000 miles or more, which should be plenty for most people for the life of the car.
The disadvantage is that you'll deal with more battery degradation, whereas leasing a new Tesla means you only get the first 3 years of degradation. However, it's important to note that most battery degradation occurs in the first year of owning an EV, and then it slows down after that.
Regardless if you chose to buy or lease this Tesla deal of the week, it comes at a great value.
The vehicle can be found here:

Available for Immediate Pickup - not sure how long it will be available though, as someone can buy it at any time.
