Tesla FSD - "Police Edition"
Tesla's FSD software is useful for someone who is driving and wants the vehicle to do most of the work. With version 12 using only neural nets, Tesla appears to have improved upon the last version, making driving for the typical driver much easier.
We all know the Cybertruck is the ultimate police car. However, what would happen if Tesla released a version of FSD, except this time, it was specifically aimed at assisting those in the police force with catching speeders and traffic violators.

A version of Tesla's FSD software like this could make the job of a police officer much easier. Of course, software may not always be perfect, however, generally, a Tesla vehicle should be able to do things such as tracking the speed of another vehicle or noticing strange patterns of other cars driving.
You Would Like: Tesla Cybertruck will be the ultimate police car.
Not only that, the software could do other things a police officer needs, such as running a license plate. Let's look at what this software may look like as shown by Tobi Mulhauser, who shares his Tesla FSD, Police Edition.
Features of Tesla's FSD, Police Edition
What features would this special FSD, police edition, software have? The first feature would be tracking the speed at which vehicles around the police car are traveling.
In the video from Tobi, you can see other cars on the screen driving with a number above them that shows how fast they are going. This number could be compared with the current speed limit in the zone and cars that are violating the speed limit will show up as a "speed warning" and could be investigated more - or sent to a system to automatically triage them.
The thing is - a car that temporarily goes over the speed limit for one second shouldn't be charged with speeding as this often happens, but there would likely need to be some threshold, such as 5 miles per hour over for 10 seconds, that flags a vehicle for investigation.
I'm sure the police force and lawmakers would better be able to answer the criteria for a speeding vehicle better than I can - but that criteria can easily be built into software with conditions.

This software could also have options for:
* Viewing arrest warrants
* Searching police records
* Requesting backup
In addition, the UI has options for:
* Playing the loudspeaker
* Playing a siren
* Flashing emergency lights
Other alerts would flash on the screen for things going on in the community. There would also be an option to search a particular vehicle, as the FSD software could photo capture license plates of any vehicle it encounters.
Tesla could charge $499 a month for any police vehicle running this software and be the sole provider of police software and interfaces for Tesla police vehicles.
A full-featured FSD, "Police Edition" software would make it much easier for a policeman to do their job, as the software would have all the criteria needed. It could even flag odd driving behavior that a cop could "watch" and act on if need be.
This kind of software would certainly make the police have an easier time at their job, but would it come with an uproar from the people who are being watched like this?
