Tesla is going through a period with a lot of FUD and retail investors are getting stressed. What is going on?
Tesla Is Going Through a Disruptive Period of FUD
The current state of Tesla could be seen as a state of chaos to the casual observer from the outside. However, Tesla is a high performing company with strengths and weaknesses. Here is the truth about Tesla.
To understand Tesla, you must understand Elon Musk and the way he thinks about things. Elon Musk is a long term thinker and he is constantly thinking about the end result for something he is doing. He created multiple master plans for Tesla and Tesla has done a good job executing on these.
For instance, Tesla made the Model 3 and got that ramped with Elon Musk calling on the entire company to work on ramping this vehicle. Tesla also made an SUV in the Model Y and got that ramped to volume production. Tesla also has the Model S and Model X, which it has ramped to volume production, albeit at a smaller amount.
Elon Musk rarely acts using short term thinking. He never focuses on short term things like the current price of Tesla stock. Right now, there is a lot of FUD attached to Tesla from the low stock price, to China reducing production, to Elon Musk being distracted with Twitter.
There's just a lot of FUD going on right now with Tesla.

Should Tesla Get a PR Department?
Tesla still has not created a public relations (PR) department, despite consistent pressure from investors to have this. One in particular, Gary Black, advocated for Tesla to have a PR department. This department could help drive the public perception of Tesla and help steer it away and correct it from those who would like or do Tesla harm with their publicity.
There is a pain point that is happening with Tesla and the retail investor community. Tesla has financial stability right now in that it is profitable. Most of their money comes from selling cars. There is a high growth rate and a high margin. Tesla is well positioned to execute well in whatever they are doing.
Why is Tesla unwilling to address things in the media? Why doesn't Tesla pay attention to the media saying things about it? As Tesla gets bigger, it is going to get more hate. I've seen Elon Musk respond on Twitter to various articles, saying that they are false.
Tesla is going to release the Cybertruck next year and the roadster. Elon Musk has even said that FSD will be at a wide release later this year. There's a lot of good things going on with Tesla right now. But, Elon Musk, likely has a way he sees things and I don't think he sees it important to fight the FUD from the media.
As Tesla gets bigger and more and more people create FUD around Tesla, Tesla is going to need to communicate with the world on the things it is doing. Tesla is going to need to share what is going on with Tesla. There are members of the Tesla retail community that are doing a good job sharing what is going on with Tesla. It would be much more impactful if it came from a Tesla official account.
Right now, there's a lot of chaos going on with Tesla and Tesla should consider doing something to combat FUD and share what is going on within the company from an official source. Let's see what Tesla does about this.
