Tesla Megapack
When I think about Tesla Energy, I think about the earth and how many batteries and solar panels are needed to make earth a sustainable Energy civilization. This makes me realize that Tesla Megapack is not even at 1% of where it needs to be for the energy usage of the world.
In the latest news, Tesla is building a Megapack farm in Western Australia with 197 MW of energy. These will be 224 Megapack double extra large units with a duration of 4-hours. The expected time frame for this to be operational is Q4, 2024.
Neoen, which is one of the world's leading producers of renewable energy, has been awarded the enormous energy contract by the Australian Energy Market Operator. The service will be delivered by Stage 1 of Collie Battery sized at 219 MW / 877 MWh and consist of the 224 Tesla Megapacks.
The battery farm will be located near the town of Collie, on the country of the Wilman people of the Bibbulmun nation, in the South West region of Western Australia. It will connect to Western Power's Shotts Terminal substation, which is part of the South-West Interconnected Systems - a separate network to the one on the eastern coast of Australia.

Tesla Energy Is Barely Getting Started
Tesla Megapack is barely getting started. Even an enormous battery farm of Tesla Megapacks at $390 million is simply not even a dent in the world's sustainable energy needs. There's going to need to be a lot more batteries in vehicles, trucks, planes, and in stationary storage for the world to transition away from fossil fuels.
This is one of the things that makes me excited about Tesla as an investor and just for the good of the world in general. The world needs to be flooded with batteries and solar panels, and Tesla has a division that specializes in each of these.
I see Tesla building Megafactories in every major continent and having multiple of these factories on most of these continents. Eventually, Tesla will have over 10 Megafactories, whereas right now it has only one.
This creates a long runway for Tesla Energy - multiple decades and if you are an investor in Tesla, you have to realize that there is a long way to go for Tesla to reach its point of saturation.
Then add in the Tesla Bot and you realize that Tesla may never saturate, but continue to innovate with new and helpful products for as long as the company exists.
What do you think about this Megapack deal? Will Tesla flood the earth with batteries and solar panels?
