The Amount of Space In a Tesla Model Y Is Staggering - 9 Suitcases Fit In the Trunk; 10 If You Use the Frunk
Tesla Asia just released a video showing just how many suitcases can fit in a Tesla Model Y Trunk. It turns out, you can fit 9 suitcases! If you then include the frunk as storage space, you can fit a 10th suitcase.
That's a lot of space, and these were big suitcases - about the maximum size that would be allowed for a carry on an airplane.
There's also a hidden compartment in the rear underneath that could probably fit 2 more pieces of luggage, making a grand total of 12 pieces of luggage!

However, the frunk still does not auto close and has to be manually opened and closed by whoever is putting the suitcases in.
I think this will change with the Juniper refresh of the Model Y, coming in 2024 in China first. There will be a lot of similar features to the Model 3 Highland.

The Tesla Model Y Gives You So Much Space For a Great Price
The Model Y is a great car. It may not be as efficient or performant as a Model 3, however, that's where the differences stop and the Model Y shines over the Model 3.
The Model Y also has a biodefense weapon filter, flittering out harmful dust, debris, and small particles and organisms.
The space is much bigger in the Model Y compared to the Model 3. I've been in both and the Model Y outshines the Model 3 in space.
For someone like me who is 6'4'', it is noticeable when I get in a Model Y instead of a Model 3. The Model Y is much more comfortable.

The Model Y in any form is going to be a great deal next year in the U.S. with the point of sale tax credit. Imagine getting a Model Y via Tesla's website, and you have the price reduced by $7,500. That's a steal!
Look for the features of the Model Y to increase next year when the Juniper upgrades are built into the production line. These are going to be similar to the Model 3, however, I think Tesla may have some surprises up its sleeve for it.

What do you think about the space of the Model Y here? Can it really fit 9, 10, or 12 suitcases in the trunk, frunk, and hidden compartment below the trunk?
