Is This Tesla's Leaked Product Road Map?
We see a Twitter post with what appears to be a leaked Tesla product road map. As always, you have to take things like this with a grain of salt, however, there have been times things leaked from Tesla have been later confirmed as true.
Some of the products you see mentioned are the Cybertruck, which will be built in Giga Texas, a Tesla Van, which would also be built in Giga Texas. There is a date of 4/30/2030 and 12/24/2030 for each of these. That's pretty far in the future and perhaps that means when the production line will be at full capacity.
There are a couple entries for the Tesla Roadster, with dates listed as 6/29/2029 and 6/29/2035. These dates are quite far in the future as well and I'm curious why there is a 2035 date for the Tesla Roadster.
the Tesla Van with a chassis based off the Cybertruck is a very needed product and would be in very high demand. I've heard many people talk about how they would like a Tesla Van that is comparable to an Escalade or a Yukon or a Suburban - in order to haul a lot of people and things around.
The Tesla Cyber Bus
Warren Redlich, a prominent Tesla bull, did a video about the Tesla Cyber Bus. He talked about how this vehicle will bring the cost of travel down and it will be great for people and transporting things.
In one of Tesla's master plans, Tesla talked about high passenger-density urban transport. It was mentioned that this was in the early stages of development at Tesla. The size of the bus would probably be smaller than your typical bus and would have increased passenger areal density by eliminating the center aisle and putting seats where there are currently entryways.
In more wealthy countries, speed and comfort will be a key for the Tesla Cyber Bus. You could imagine a bus that travels from San Francisco to Los Angeles and just keeps going for a loop over and over, charging once at each destination - especially with enough batteries to get 600 miles of range or more.
There could be different configuration of this vehicle that are cheaper with different amounts of seats. If the bus was going 130 mph in a Boring Company tunnel, or on the freeway because traffic became automated, I think more people would choose to take a bus instead of flying...
It's tough to say if this product road map is real or not - parts of it could be real and others not. Regardless, Tesla's future products regarding a bus and more will be interesting to watch.
Is this product road map real? If not, when will Tesla make a Cyber Bus?
