The Value of Tesla Is...
There's something I've been thinking about a lot lately, and it is what makes Tesla so special. You see, Tesla is being valued more than a bundle of the existing automakers combined. Here's how this works out.
Tesla is at a 760 billion market cap as of today. Here it is when compared to other existing auto companies as of today.
Tesla: 760 billion
Other automakers:
- Toyota: 305 billion
- BYD: 103 billion
- Daimler (Mercedes): 66 billion
- Stellantis: 64 billion
- VW: 63 billion
- Honda: 57 billion
- Ford: 42 billion
- GM: 39 billion
- Hyundai: 36 billion
- Kia: 30 billion
Total of other automakers: 805 billion
Total of Tesla: 760 billion
These 10 automakers, which I think are 10 of the most visible and prominent in the world are just barely worth more than Tesla by itself. This may seem absurd, but there is a reason for it.
Is it the Vehicles?
Tesla has some incredible vehicles that are safe, performant, comfortable, technologically advanced, and cool. I, for one, look forward to the black matte New Tesla Roadster.

Even though the Model S, Model X, Model Y, Model 3, and the upcoming Cybertruck and new Roadster are incredible vehicles, they aren't the reason Tesla is so valuable.

Is It In Energy?
It might be in the energy business for Tesla. Tesla energy will grow at least as large as the auto business, according to Elon Musk. There's some astonishing economics when it comes to the Tesla Megapack.
Please share the word on Tesla Megapack:

Tesla energy is going to save the world's grid system and provide backup energy. It will allow people to harness energy at night and use it during the day. But this isn't what makes Tesla so valuable.
Is It FSD and Autonomous Vehicles?
Tesla is developing software to allow its vehicles to drive themselves. Tesla is working on making an autonomous fleet of vehicles that anyone can summon to drive for a low cost per mile. Elon Musk even stated that in two weeks, FSD v12, which uses only neural nets, will be available to customers.

This software is an incredible feat of engineering, but this software alone also isn't what makes Tesla so valuable.
Is It In the Bot?
Tesla is working on a humanoid robot to replace labor that is mundane and dangerous. This will save lives and free up people to work on more pleasant and creative tasks. The Tesla bot may even be already helping Tesla in its factories.

If the Tesla bot succeeds, many think it will dwarf the auto, energy, and software business in positive impact to the world and revenue generated.

The Real Value in Tesla
Everything I've talked about here is valuable for Tesla and anyone or any business that uses its products. But they aren't what makes Tesla valuable and justifies it being more valuable than most of the other automakers combined.
The real value of Tesla is in just how much Tesla cares about people.
Tesla's vehicles are the safest on the road. That saves lives.
Tesla's energy business will stabilize the grid, which will save lives.
Tesla's FSD software will allow vehicles to safely drive because it never sleeps and this will save lives.
Tesla Bot will do mundane and DANGEROUS jobs and this will save lives.
Tesla products save lives.
When I think about Tesla, I think about how many lives it will save and the positive impact it will have on lives.
Not only this, Elon Musk is a visionary who is relentlessly working on cutting costs. This means he wants people to be able to afford Tesla's products. If you listen to him on earnings calls and when he talks about Tesla, he says this often. People want Tesla's products, but many can't afford them. Tesla will continue to drive the cost down of its products.
This is why I believe Tesla's prices will one day be absurdly cheap.

That's the value to me - saving lives and making incredible and as affordable products as possible. Tesla will have the best and most affordable products on the market. This will allow the world to take part in the use of Tesla products. Billions of people will benefit from this. Millions or more lives will be saved.
What do you think about the value of Tesla being more than the top 10 automakers? Will Tesla products positively affect billions of people and save millions of lives?
