Warren Buffett On Tesla
Warren Buffett, at the annual Berkshire meeting, talked about Tesla's FSD technology. He had this to say:
If accidents get reduced 50%, it's going to be good for society and bad for insurance companies. Good for society is what we're looking for.
He also talked about self-driving cars back in 2014 saying that is self-driving cars prove successful and reduce accidents dramatically, it will be very good for society and very bad for auto insurers.
This is a clue that he could be getting ready to, or may have already, invested into Tesla. If not, he may be waiting until true robotaxis become a reality in the next couple of years.
Certainly, investing in insurance companies for auto, assuming self-driving tech proves to be much safer and less accident-prone, will be a fool's errand in the future as insurance costs come way down, leading to far less profit for auto insurance companies.

Tesla's FSD has been improving quite rapidly, and it's now on version 12.3.6. A new version seems to be getting released every 8 to 10 days.
After a few days of driving without it, I couldn't handle not having it, so I subscribed to the monthly subscription for it. I rarely have to intervene, and usually it's an extreme situation when I do, such as an ultra busy unprotected left-hand turn.

Good For Society Is What Warren Wants
The fact that Warren Buffett mentioned that Tesla's FSD and the reduction in accidents is good for society and bad for insurance companies may give a clue to his future investments.
It's likely that any companies he is investing in that deal with insurance may be companies that he no longer invests in. He could be gearing up, if he hasn't already, to invest in Tesla.

Of course, this is all speculation without an official announcement, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out in the next couple of years that Berkshire has purchased Tesla stock.
Tesla with its safety features on its cars and FSD that is reducing accidents and driving better than a human more and more with each version is most certainly going to be better for society.
The next couple of years are not going to be boring, that's for sure!
