The Tesla Model Y is the best vehicle on the market today. Here's the feedback from a tester of the Model Y.
Why the Tesla Model Y is the Best Vehicle To Buy
Tesla's are by far the most popular electric vehicles in the US - and for good reason. A 2022 Model Y SUV was tested and the tester came away impressed by its quick acceleration, roomy cabin, and tech features. A Model Y was recently tested and feedback given.
Tesla's extensive Supercharger network is another great reason to buy one of its EVs. This is incredibly important for any EV so that you can drive on road trips or long range drives and not have to worry about your battery running out of energy.
Driving a Tesla for the first time showed this tester that Elon Musk's EV's are not all hype. There are several solid reasons to buy from Tesla rather than its rivals, depending on your particular preferences of course.
The 2022 Model Y SUV that was borrowed from a friend recently delivered an attractive combination of cutting-edge tech, minimalist design, and speedy acceleration. For these reasons and more, the Model Y is a great choice for buyers if you can get past its flaws.
The Tesla Model Y Is Superior
Despite this Model Y not being the higher priced performance version, the long range was still plenty sporty. It leaped forward with the fierce acceleration intrinsic to high-powered electric vehicles and that quickness was paired with precise steering and a stiff suspension with the all-wheel-drive.
Tesla vehicles remain the range leaders in the U.S. The Model Y has a healthy 330 mile estimate from the Environmental Protection Agency. The Model that this tester drove has an EPA range of 318 miles which is still more than most EVs available today.
The Model Y SUV has a feature-packed touchscreen. It's a tech-lover's paradise. Practically everything in the vehicle is controlled through the super-responsive center display, which includes many different features and everything needed to manage your vehicle. It's like a giant smart phone with wheels.
Some people could be annoyed by the idea of relying on a digital interface for basic functions like the air conditioning and the windshield wipers. That is understandable because cars for many many decades have used buttons and stalks to manage these features. But, it's way better to use the center console and your car is like an iPhone on wheels.
There is room to stretch out in the Model Y. There is maximized interior space. Because there is no transmission, engine, and gas tank, there is much more room. There is a tall glass roof and plenty of interior space for people to sit.
The Model Y frunk - the front area has plenty of space. There is an abundance of room, so a frunk was added for extra storage. Tesla has better engineering than other EV makers. The Model Y also has plenty of storage space in the back of the vehicle. There is 76.2 cubic feet of usable storage space with the back seats folded.
The interior is a strikingly minimalist feature set. There are plenty of Tesla Super Chargers, which when you navigate to, will warm your battery to start charging right away. This isn't a typical charging experience. There isn't fumbling with a credit card, customer service, or anything. Once you link your payment, you just plugin and that is it.
What do you think about the Tesla Model Y? Is it the best vehicle on the market today?

My 21 Y has had a persistent problem since new and Tesla doesn’t seem to be able to fix, or quite frankly, doesn’t seem to care. The problem is with the windows. Using the one-touch auto up feature almost exclusively, I’ve experienced the windows going up, stopping mid-way, rolling down a few inches then stopping. I thought it was only the driver window, but after testing, all 4 windows do this. While the Y was in the shop for the 10th time (just for this issue, not including the others) I had a 17 X loaner. The front passenger window did the same thing! Anyone else experiencing this?

I have 2 new Teslas. A Y and an X. I love them. They both had fit and finish issues, but the new service center 3 miles from my house fixed most of them or made them better. I think Teslas are the best right now, but there are many new EVs now that are narrowing the gap and are better in some ways. I see the Geely Zeekr 001 in China uses the new CATL Qilin battery which can charge at 350 kw, and has a range over 600 miles. It’s interior quality looks good. It has air suspension and good list of features for under $50k. Tesla is struggling to get the 4680 going even without all it’s advertised features. Geely is backed by a lot of car companies eg. Volvo. I think Tesla may not be the best for long outside of the charging network and it’s FSD beta. I use FSD beta and think it has gotten way better lately. It’s no longer a drunken teenage driver. It’s more a beginning student driver.
