In the midst of the battle to win charging hegemony in the United States, Tesla shows its management power with a tool that makes other rival companies look ridiculous.
With electric cars capable of traveling farther every passing year (or semester, in some cases), range anxiety is in fact fading among most EV users. However, it is necessary to have a robust and trustworthy charging infrastructure that generates such security for users. We can find numerous companies that provide charging services in the market, but none is actually as good as Tesla. The Austin company, in its own right, has become the best public charging network infrastructure in the world and there is a reason why: arriving at a Tesla station means having a guaranteed charging spot and now, through a video, we can find out what is hidden behind the scenes.
In these days the Austinites have celebrated two important milestones regarding their charging network; the company's famous Superchargers already number in the thousands in Europe, China and the United States. With nearly 5,000 stations spread throughout the world, 2,000 of those vital charging centers are on the North American continent.
But the installation and opening of a supercharger station is only a preliminary step. Leaving aside the bureaucracy necessary for the points to be operational, it is their management that is the true key to Tesla's success. To demonstrate how they operate, the company has published a video that makes it clear why they are the best in the world. Tesla is capable of remotely monitoring each and every one of the points throughout the world, although in the video they focus more on those supercharging stations located in the United States.
As can be seen, there is a high concentration of stations on both coasts of the country, especially on the East Coast, although we can also see a large nucleus of Superchargers in cities such as Los Angeles or San Francisco. Each and every one of the points is remotely connected to the central, reporting its current status, operating power and even the waiting time for the next electric car to charge. All this information is compiled, analyzed and added to the real-time database used by the company's cars to accurately plan the time of a trip and the possible stops necessary to recharge.
Tesla's route planner is one of the most valued tools by electric car users: being able to know where you have to stop and how long it will take is something that, for now, only the Austin company offers. Now we know how they actually work to achieve that excellence, that is being recognized by all brands in the United States. Tesla's NACS format is becoming the charging standard, and big rivals like Ford or General Motors have already taken the definitive step to adopt the Tesla system from 2025 on.
It is important to recognize the impact of Tesla's innovation in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles globally. Their commitment to refining and expanding their Supercharger network sets a precedent for other automakers to follow in order to ensure a seamless and convenient EV driving experience for consumers. Additionally, this also fosters healthy competition in the charging infrastructure space, ultimately pushing for improvements and advancements in charging technology.
In conclusion, Tesla's management and continuous growth of its Supercharger network prove its commitment to making electric vehicle ownership as accessible and convenient as possible.
