When will we finally see the Cyberquad as a commercial model? Although it seems that its development has been extremely complicated so far, everything points now to the fact that we will be able to see the electric ATC come true. Since its debut at the event where the Tesla Cybertruck was officially presented, there have been many rumors about its possible marketing; however, after that Tesla continued to be practically stagnant in that regard, with no apparent news. However, now it seems that they are looking to go ahead with this project and even called a contest to design the battery pack that will be used in this model. We might be facing a possible recruitment casting, very probably.
Back in 2019 we met the Tesla Cyberquad in a handy "One more thing" in the purest Apple style during the launch of the Tesla Cybertruck. This electric ATV served to publicly demonstrate just how generous the retro-futuristic electric pick-up's cargo capacity was. At the time, it didn't look like the ATV was going to make it to production anytime soon, or even make it to production at all. However, Elon Musk himself later confirmed that this small electric vehicle would be an option for all those who set out to get hold of a Cybertruck unit. Later on we saw actual progress in the development of the pick-up, but little or nothing of the Cyberquad.

But this might change anytime, since next year should be when Tesla launches its long-awaited Cybertruck into mass production and, echoing its promises about the Cyberquad, it should arrive more or less at the same time. That seems to be the plan at Tesla, since they have apparently already decided to go ahead and are in fact starting the implementation of the small electric vehicle, although in a very particular way, never seen before in the company.
Through its official Weibo account in China, Tesla released the announcement titled "2022 World Battery Power Conference, Power Management and Integration Technology Challenge". In this way, Tesla is asking teams of engineers and experts to present battery design possibilities that fit concisely on the Tesla Cyberquad, equipping a maximum of 2,170 cells.
In the same announcement Tesla specified that the best design may end up being installed on the commercially manufactured electric ATV itself, although they also announced economic prizes for the winning designs, which may be rewarded with an amount of up to 30,000 dollars. There will likely be more levels of prizes, depending on the quality and technical merits of the project, although at the moment they have not been officially announced.

Tesla expects to have not only experienced teams of experts to get involved in this contest, but also students who are developing their careers around more technical fields, or even any fan-follower of the company who might have knowledge in the matter and would like to present his/her own ideas. This contest will complete its selection of candidates in the coming months; we hope to have more news about this particular little electric vehicle soon.
