The teaser, released on Spyker's Facebook page, shows the slimmest of details of the vehicle. All we could make out are a set of headlights. Of course, the most important information - the name - is put right in the center of the teaser: Spyker C8 Preliator. The very mention of C8 is important as this was the name for the only model Spyker offered since 2000. This could mean Spyker could be showing an updated version of this model.
As we reported last month, Spyker merged with airplane company Volta Volare in 2015. The company specializes in low emission airplanes and is working on an electric airplane. Also, Spyker had gotten an investment from Chinese automaker Youngman for a number of projects before going bankrupt. One of those projects was a sports car with an electric powertrain. It could mean the vehicle that Spyker will show will feature some sort of electrification.
We'll find out what Spyker has in store when they have their press conference on March 1st.
