This is the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept which made its debut last night during Monterey Car Week.
The first thing to take into account is how large this concept is. Measurements are 18.5 feet long and 6.9 feet wide. The overall shape is reminiscent of vehicles from the 1930's with a long hood and flowing lines. Design elements to take note of are gullwing doors and a rounded boat-tail rear. The vehicle rides on a set of 24-inch wheels with body-color inserts.
While the exterior is a modern take on classic design, the interior is completely futuristic. A set of circular gauges are paired with a digital display screen that runs the full width of the dash and into the door panels. The windshield acts as a giant heads-up display and is operated by gesture controls. Interior appointments include rose gold dash accents and elm wood used for the floor.
Power comes from four electric motors and an 80-kWh battery pack. Total output stands at 738 horsepower. Mercedes claims a 0-62 mph time of under 4 seconds and an overall range of over 200 miles. More impressive is that with the right quick charger, you can get 62 miles of range in just 5 minutes.
