2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Goes for Precision

Cadillac is adding even better handling to help its 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing better compete with high end BMWs and Audis.

Cadillac designed its V-Series and Blackwing models to compete with the best of the best. BMW, Mercedes and Audi sedans have long been revered for their excellent handling especially at high speeds. Cadillac is upgrading its luxury sports sedan to have a top-of-the-line track focused chassis package. The 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package will let drivers add even better handling to their luxurious rides.

“We built this vehicle to set records on some of toughest tracks around the world and reward the most discerning driving enthusiast,” said Brandon Vivian, executive chief engineer, Cadillac. “This new Precision Package will enable the CT5-V Blackwing to be incredibly light on its feet at all speeds — both on road and track.”

Designed to Compete with European Luxury Sedans

Cadillac debuted its 2025 CT5-V Blackwing to the public at the Rolex 24 Hour race at Daytona in January. The high-performance Cadillac served as the official safety car taking laps out on the racetrack. The Blackwing has a 6.2L Supercharged V-8 with 668 horsepower and 659 lb.-ft. of torque.

At the time, John Roth, vice president of global Cadillac said, "Cadillac sedans continue to drive positive brand momentum, year-over-year. Last year, our sedans experienced their best sales since 2018 and CT5 is Cadillac's best-selling vehicle, globally. As V-Series celebrates a record year, the importance of this option for those customers who value performance and power cannot be overstated."

The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package

The 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package can be added to give the sedan a more track focused chassis package. The new package is engineered to increase corner speeds for the drivers who want on-track capability without compromising the luxury and refinement that Cadillac is known for.

Key Precision Package features include:

  • Increased spring rates, larger front stabilizer bar and revised suspension bushings
  • New front steering knuckles and rear suspension toe links which allow for more aggressive wheel alignment for track usage
  • MagneRide dampers, steering, chassis controls and Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD)
  • Carbon ceramic brake package

The Precision Package will contribute to improved steering precision into the corner apex, increased stability on corner exit and better all-round handling.

2025 CT5-V Blackwing

The Precision Package is just one of the ways that Cadillac is improving the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing. The luxury sedan is getting a redesigned grille and front fascia. New technology is also focused on improving driving and handling.

New technology and performance features include:

  • 33-inch-diagonal LED color touchscreen display
  • Available enhanced in-vehicle Performance Data Recorder with input from racing-obsessed GM engineers and designers
  • New Performance in-vehicle app
  • Three new colors: Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, Typhoon Metallic

While the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing will be available soon, sedans with the Precision Package will take longer to get. Cadillac says production for the CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package will begin in early 2025. Pricing details should be announced closer to when the vehicle is available.

“For 20 years, V-Series has represented Cadillac's commitment to performance, technology and craftsmanship, serving as the purest expression of the brand’s core values,” said John Roth, vice president, Global Cadillac. “We wanted to put an exclamation mark on this era of Cadillac excellence and offer enthusiasts the utmost in driving exhilaration.”
