The 2025 Dodge Durango Adds a Third Special Edition as it Phases Out the 710-Horsepower HEMI Engine

The supercharged Hemi engine is not going quietly as it leaves the Dodge Durango lineup.

Dodge is celebrating the end of two decades of HEMI power in the Dodge Durango. It is adding a third special edition as it phases out its most powerful SUV. The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hammerhead joins two other special Durango models announced earlier this year: The Dodge Durango SRT Silver Bullet and the Dodge Durango SRT 20th Anniversary Edition. The Dodge Durango SRT Hammerhead with its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine will have an incredible 710-horsepower.

“The new Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead continues the celebration of a potent combination: the legendary HEMI engine and the Dodge brand’s three-row performance SUV,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO. “Dodge is America’s performance brand, and we plan to continue to celebrate that legacy at every turn.”
